THE HOLY SPIRIT AND YOUR EVERLASTING IDENTITY

Scripture:
“Concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord, who was born of the seed of David according to the flesh, and declared to be the Son of God with power according to the Spirit of Holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.”
Romans 1:3–4 (NKJV)

Romans 1:3–4 beautifully reveals the supernatural journey of our Lord Jesus Christ—from His miraculous birth to His glorious resurrection.

Jesus’ birth was entirely miraculous. The angel declared to Mary:

“The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you…” ( Luke 1:35).

By the operation of the Holy Spirit, the eternal Word became flesh and was born as Jesus.

At His baptism, the Holy Spirit descended upon Him (Matthew 3:16). From that moment, Jesus was publicly revealed as Jesus the Christ—the Anointed One, empowered to accomplish the Father’s redemptive purpose.

At Calvary, He willingly laid down His life for the sins of the world. But death could not hold Him. According to the Spirit of Holiness, God raised Him from the dead, declaring Him to be the Son of God with power. He is now the Risen Lord, exalted King forever, never to die again.

Every stage of Christ’s earthly ministry was the work of the Holy Spirit:

  • The Holy Spirit conceived Him.
  • The Holy Spirit anointed Him.
  • The Spirit of Holiness raised Him.

None of these miracles were merely for Christ Himself. They were all accomplished for us. Through His incarnation, death, and resurrection, Jesus secured for the whole human race a new and everlasting identity.

The greatest miracle is not merely that Christ was raised from the dead—it is that everyone who believes in Him is made the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21). This is your eternal identity. It is not earned by your performance but established by Christ’s finished work and sealed by the Holy Spirit.

Therefore, never define yourself by your past, your failures, or the opinions of others. Define yourself by what God accomplished through His Son. In Christ, you are accepted, justified, righteous, and eternally His.

Prayer:
Daddy God, thank You for the miraculous work of the Holy Spirit in the life of Jesus—from His conception to His resurrection. Thank You that through Christ’s finished work, I have received an everlasting identity as Your righteousness. Help me to live daily in the reality of who I am in Christ, bringing glory to Your Name. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Proclamation:
I boldly declare that I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. My identity is established by the finished work of Christ and sealed by the Holy Spirit. I am accepted, justified, holy, and victorious. The same Spirit who conceived Christ, anointed Him, and raised Him from the dead lives in me. Therefore, I walk in resurrection life, divine purpose, and everlasting victory. Amen.

Lord Jesus! I love you with all my heart and am eternally grateful

Praise the Risen Jesus
