THE SPIRIT OF SONSHIP BRINGS YOU HOME
Romans 8:15–17
“You received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, ‘Abba, Father.’ The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ.”
1. The restoration of glory begins with relationship.
Before God reveals what you can do, He reveals who you are.
You are a son.
The Gospel does not merely deliver us from the power of darkness; but much more, it brings us into the Father’s family.
2.Romans 8:15 says that we have received the Spirit of Sonship.
This Spirit removes the mentality of slavery and fear and brings us into the confidence of Father-son relationship .
We cry:
“Abba, Father!”
This is the foundation of the Christian life.
You are not merely a servant working for God. The Father did not redeem you simply to make you a better servant.
He redeemed you to bring you home as His son.
You are a son living from the love of your Father. The Holy Spirit continually reminds you: You belong to the Father.
This is the beginning of restored glory.
3.And sonship carries inheritance.
Romans 8:17 says:
“If children, then heirs.”
A son has an inheritance because he belongs to the family.
Therefore, the Spirit of Sonship introduces you into your divine inheritance.
You are an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ.
Therefore, your Christian journey must begin with identity—not performance.
Sonship before service.
Relationship before responsibility.
Identity before activity.
PRAYER
Daddy God, thank You for giving me the Spirit of Sonship. Remove every mentality of slavery, fear and rejection from my heart. Let me live every day in the confidence that I am Your beloved child and an heir of Your glorious inheritance.In Jesus’ name Amen 🙏
PROCLAMATION
I have received the Spirit of Sonship!
God is my Father, and I belong to His family.
I am not a slave to fear.
I am a beloved child of God. I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
I am an heir of God and a joint heir with Christ.
I live from relationship, not rejection!
