THE SPIRIT OF SONSHIP GIVES YOU THE LANGUAGE OF GOD !
Romans 8:15
“For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of Sonship by whom we cry out, ‘Abba, Father.’”
The centrality of the entire month is the Holy Spirit, whom God sent into our lives so that we have fellowship with Him on account of Jesus
Throughout September, we have meditated on the Spirit of Sonship and what His presence produces in us.
The Spirit of Sonship reveals who we are. We are not slaves living in fear; we are sons who know our Father —our loving Daddy God.
He makes us stronger, enables us to regain lost ground, teaches us to walk in the Spirit, and leads us into the liberty of the children of God.
We have also seen that the Gospel has a glorious destination: sonship, righteousness, liberty and ultimately the manifestation of glory in the redemption of our bodies. As sons, we are the seed of God through the incorruptible Word, and Christ in us is the hope of glory.
But sonship does not only change who we are; it changes how we speak.
A SON LEARNS THE LANGUAGE OF HIS FATHER
1 Corinthians 2:7 says:
“But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory.”
And 1 Corinthians 14:2 says:
“He who speaks in a tongue… in the spirit he speaks mysteries.”
Therefore, September has taken us from identity to expression:
SONSHIP → FELLOWSHIP → LEADING → LIBERTY → GLORY → DIVINE SPEECH
A mystery is God’s wisdom concealed;
Revelation is God’s wisdom unveiled; and
Speaking in the Spirit—through tongues and interpretation—gives expression to divine wisdom.
MY CONFESSION
I am the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus
I am a son of God.
I am led by the Spirit of God.
I walk in the liberty of the sons of God.
I speak the wisdom of God.
I speak mysteries in the Spirit.
My words agree with God’s purpose, and my life manifests His glory.
PRAYER
Holy Father, thank You for the Spirit of Sonship by whom I know You as my Daddy. Thank You for leading me from fear into freedom, from weakness into strength, and from sonship into glory.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
