“Then the sea arose because a great wind was blowing. So when they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near the boat; and they were afraid.”
John 6:18-19 NKJV
What the disciples first saw was that the sea arose. But what they didn’t notice properly was that it was because of a great wind that was blowing, causing the havoc.
Wind signifies spirit . Since this was contrary wind , it refers to evil powers at work.
They could literally see the raging sea , causing waves to enter into the boat but they couldn’t realize the real cause behind that.
Many a times we see people as an object of opposition without realizing the force behind it. Husband blames his wife and wife her husband. Employee blames his employer and employer his employee…. the blame game of Eden goes on & on !
What we need to see is the Saviour in our struggles…Christ in the midst of our contrary winds!
Your confession that you are righteousness of God in Christ will open your understanding to see clearly. It calms your storms! Amen 🙏
