Grace for you today !
Christ My Transforming Glory!
“And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace. For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.” John 1:16-17 NKJV
The intent of the Law was to reveal to man the high standard of God to become righteous and also to reveal that he can’t keep these laws by himself. This draws him to Christ to open his heart to declare, “ Lord I can’t but You can”.
In fact, this is the basic meaning for faith- “Lord I can’t but you can”. This is what Abraham, the father of faith, understood and God accounted this to him for righteousness (Genesis 15:6).
We all know that the blessings rest on the righteous. But, Scripture concludes that there is none righteous ( Romans 3:10,11). Such being the case, the wisest thing that you and I can do is to surrender and accept our inability and receive His ability. Grace is His ability that supplies in every area of lack or weakness.
But again , our greatest challenge is NOT our weakness rather our (human) strength. It’s easy to handle our weakness than the human strength.
For this reason, Apostle Paul said, “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.” I Corinthians 15:10 .
Our confession that we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus addresses both our weakness and our human strengths . Amen 🙏
