Grace for you today !
Beholding Jesus, we move forward forgetting the past!
”Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.“
Philippians 3:13-14 NKJV
My beloved as we have come to the end of this month and also to the end of this year, I thank the Blessed Holy Spirit who so beautifully and graciously led us, revealing to us Jesus the Son of God. Throughout the whole year, our focus has been “Beholding Jesus, becoming Christ” by the transforming glory who is the Holy Spirit as promised in 2 Corinthians 3:18.
As your brother or friend or father in the Lord, my advice to you will be that looking forward to the coming year should be by forgetting the past. That’s your present position. Take time to thank the Lord for the good things that happened this year and for the things that weren’t according to your expectations, for all things works together for good.
Let us have grace from the Lord to forget the past – both the past glories and also the past disappointments. It is humanly not possible to forget the past to move forward in life especially when we carry disappointments and hurts. It takes His grace. Joseph of Old Testament understood this and confessed,“…for God has made me forget all my toil and all my father’s house.” Genesis 41:51
My beloved, I am sure God has great things for us in 2024, let’s move on mentally before we physically enter into the New Year in Jesus name!
