“Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus. So, when He heard that he was sick, He stayed two more days in the place where He was.” John 11:5-6 NKJV

Let me shorten the above verse : “ Now Jesus loved them, so He stayed back two more days ..”
This seems weird. How can one love and still remain quiet or stay back without reacting or responding to a dire need?

We may not fully comprehend this paradox . However, one thing is very clear that God loves you in spite of every seeming delay in the fulfilment of His promise in your life.

Also , His love always does the very best for you , much beyond your widest imagination. Why should you then worry as though God has forgotten you? Why should you imagine the most improbable to happen to you? What makes you think that Gods is ticked off ?

My Beloved, constantly feed yourself with His unconditional love & your hope will not be cut off. Return to rest O precious soul, for His love has dealt bountifully with you! Amen 🙏.

Lazarus was very sick and was at the point of death. His sisters sent word to the Lord Jesus , desperately requesting Him to come ASAP .
But Lord Jesus, stayed back 2 more days despite their plea. During this time , Lazarus passed on. It looks like the delay cost Lazarus his dear life .

However , time is a subset of Eternity and can never dictate to and overrule Eternity. Delays are reversed when Jesus walks in .
My beloved , this week you will experience the reversal of all your delays and the good Lord will cause restoration & shower His blessings upon you. Amen 🙏

“For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,”
‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭10:4-5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The basis of our spiritual warfare is the obedience of Christ .
*We constantly need to remind ourselves that Christ’s obedience to God has made us righteous before God *.
Our mind which is the battle ground , is often bombarded with weird negative thoughts. Sadly people succumb to such thoughts of condemnation , hopelessness ,despair and defeat and some are even pushed to the point of death .

But if we bring our thoughts in subjection to Christ’s obedience on our behalf that made us righteous ( right standing with God ) and confess – “ I am made righteous through the obedience of Christ and not by my own obedience “ , we will experience deliverance from all oppression which tries to enslave us .

This confession will take us to believe that we are victorious , healed by His stripes , made righteous forever & saved by grace . Amen 🙏

“When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Acts‬ ‭2:1, 4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The Feast of Pentecost is one of the three major festivals in the land of Israel even to this day. God chose this feast to send forth His Holy Spirit , who is the most cherished Person to both the Father and the Son. Secondly, after the coming of the Holy Spirit , of all the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit , He chose to give the gift of speaking in tongues to His beloved children.

*So, will God ever send His Holy Spirit and the gift of speaking in tongues on this important day, if this gift had not been so important and primary *?
We may endlessly argue the need to speak in tongues . However , if we begin to step out of ourselves and step into God’s point of view, we will simply obey and desire to speak in tongues all throughout the day, making it our life style.

Therefore , feverishly desire to speak in this all glorious heavenly language called “Tongues”. *Through this you are declaring His righteousness as yours and His wonderful works in your life *. It’s amazing! Amen 🙏

“Deliver me from the guilt of bloodshed, O God, The God of my salvation, And my tongue shall sing aloud of Your righteousness.” Psalms‬ ‭51:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The verses above are comparative & yet contrasting! The Psalmist in his agony, cries for deliverance from guilt so that he can sing praises of God’s righteousness. Seems logical.
However, Apostle Paul says that because Jesus has made you righteous by His blood, there is therefore now no condemnation. This seems too good to be true & makes a whole world of difference ! Hallelujah!!

We are under the New covenant of Grace where God has already finished the work of deliverance. It only takes our application. The Old covenant of Law left man either helpless or desperately needing help, just like the man at the Pool of Bethesda who waited for 38 years without any remedy.

What is the application on my part then ?
Walk according to the Spirit. Describing it in simple terms , it’s speaking in Tongues which was the sign given on the day of Pentecost ( Acts 2) that helps walk in the Spirit.
*Speaking in tongues destroys the power of guilt *. You may say , “pastor , I am free from guilt . I haven’t done anything wrong.” You may be right . Yet , if you speak in tongues , you can be helping someone who is suffering from acute guilt & it’s consequences. Amen 🙏

The Psalmist King David prays to God to deliver him from guilt. Guilt is terrible.
Today, millions suffer from guilt . Guilt due to the mistakes or blunders of the past . Guilt can cause physical ailments too. People suffering from guilt, hurt themselves & they hurt others too. Guilt hinders one’s success.

My beloved ,Jesus Christ took our guilt and shame upon Himself. He tasted our death. Therefore, you need not suffer guilt & death . God is not interested in your woeful past at all. He is here to give you a brand new start . Today is your day . God is turning around your sorrows into great joy . His righteousness does it. Just receive ! Amen 🙏

“But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,” ‭‭Jude‬ ‭1:20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Praying in the Holy Spirit means praying in tongues.

Tongues is a weapon from God, a powerful instrument made in heaven, that has many wonderful benefits. One has to experience it to really appreciate its blessedness. One of them is that you can build yourselves up on your most holy faith by praying in tongues.

When you go through depression or disappointments, heart aches or failure, speaking in tongues will amazingly lift you up. You will experience the gloom & frustration disappear like smoke and instead joy and peace will flood your sun scorched life.

Spend time praying in tongues even if it is for just 15 minutes. You will definitely see your sorrow turned into joy. Hallelujah! Amen 🙏

“Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? And how is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born? Cretans and Arabs—we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.” ‭‭Acts‬ ‭2:7-8, 11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The reason that God gave the law is that man should come to the point of realization that he is a sinner & needs a Savior!

If our sinning is not in our deeds, then definitely in our hearts and minds. But the Good News is that even though we all have sinned, God still loves us. He demonstrated His love for us by giving us His Son to die for us while we were yet sinners.

Under the New Covenant , when God gave the Spirit and the gift of tongues, the emphasis is no longer on how bad man is but its on how good God is.

The grace gift of Tongues glorifies God & speaks how good God is . Also when you speak in tongues, you apply grace in every area that is a matter of concern. “The lips of the righteous know what is acceptable, ….” Proverbs‬ ‭10:32‬. This is possible when you confess that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and speak in tongues. Amen 🙏
