“Cast your burden on the Lord, And He shall sustain you; He shall never permit the righteous to be moved.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭55:22‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

As the Psalmist begins the Psalm, he complains to God about the distress he was facing due to the oppression of the enemy .
In his great anguish, it seemed like God was a million miles away and his prayers weren’t heard by God. As a result, he wished to run away from his problems to a far & remote place where he might find solace and rest to his soul.

But then God revealed to him that he needs to simply allow God to handle the issues of life because God truly cares for the righteous.

Yes, my beloved, Jesus through His death on the Cross has made everyone righteous . You are His special treasure and He eyes are on you always and His ears are attentive to every prayer of thine. This week you will experience His amazing love just as how a shepherd cares for his sheep . Amen 🙏

“And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word. But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.” But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.””
‭‭Luke‬ ‭10:39-40, 42‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We tend to think of Mary as Miss Spiritual, who only knew to read the Bible, listen to messages, pray and had no concern about the chores & responsibilities of the house. On the other hand, we think of Martha as Miss Admin, whose focus was to serve, making sure that the protocols are met, logistics are worked out , guests are properly served and so on.

However, this is not true . Let’s look at the the words used – “ who also sat..” which means that both Martha & Mary sat at the feet of the Lord Jesus with spiritual inclination . Again, the words “my sister has left me alone to serve ..” says that both of them were working together & both were service oriented. But the difference between the two is “ Prioritizing time “. Mary preferred to listen to God first, followed by the activities of the day. Whereas, Martha preferred to start the day with the chores and then to give the left over time to God.

The answer from the Lord Jesus is simple and straight forward – “ Mary has prioritized her schedule well and therefore, this blessing will always be with her.”

My beloved , we may have various responsibilities, pressing needs of the family, trying to balance between work & family, yet let’s prioritize our time to be with God through effective planning by receiving His grace! Everything else will automatically fall in place. Amen 🙏

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” Galatians‬ ‭3:28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.” Colossians‬ ‭3:11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The true knowledge of Christ will eliminate every discrimination. Because, Christ came to remove all discrimination: discrimination on gender, color, creed, nationality , tribe , economic status , education etc. All are equal in Christ: male and female, rich and poor, educated and uneducated, Jews and gentiles, slave and free. There is no 2nd class treatment in heaven nor should it be on earth if it is in Christ.

My beloved, whether we are in Christ or not matters . If we are in Christ, there is no discrimination . Also, if Christ is not in us or has become dormant is us then there is all sorts of discrimination. This is one of the major yard sticks to differentiate between knowing Christ through the Holy Spirit and knowing about Christ through all other means.

Let’s pursue to know HIM through revelation. May we abound more & more in the knowledge of Christ which breaks every middle wall of separation & ushers in the peace that we long for. Amen 🙏

“circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee; concerning zeal, persecuting the church; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless. But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3:5-7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Cited above is a classical example of self righteousness, self achievements and attainment of great heights of Apostle Paul. He was of the pure breed of the stock of Israel. He had every credential that a successful man can boast about . We can say that he was a pedigree who could trace back his genealogy right up to Adam. Yet, in comparison with the knowledge of Jesus Christ, he considers all his laurels & past credentials as rubbish . What a radical statement !

To be very honest, what Paul considered and concluded is what we will conclude as well if only we had the revelation of Jesus Christ our Lord through the Holy Spirit.
All of us pursue after one thing or other in life . But, if we ask ourselves the question , “ what is it that keeps me fully satisfied in this life and joyful through time and eternity ?”
The answer is “Nothing”
Yes , frankly speaking there isn’t anything at all except for “knowing Jesus Christ “.

In knowing Christ , you will get to know your true identity and escape ‘identity crisis *’. *You will live satisfied & Joyful!

“and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3:9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“For Moses writes about the righteousness which is of the law, “The man who does those things shall live by them.””
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

There was a constant & conscious pursuit in the life of Paul the apostle not to have his own righteousness .

One’s own righteousness is to tell God, “ Look, I have kept the requirements of the law as described by Moses, therefore I am entitled to have every blessing”. This puts man on performance mind-set. It’s to say that only when he performs and performs well, he can be entitled to God’s blessing, else he will miss it . But the truth of the matter is that one can’t keep the law all the time.

However, the Lord Jesus kept the law at all times without fault. He kept the law in our stead, for us and as us. His obedience was complete.
Any one who believes this is made righteous and is entitled to every blessing . Hallelujah!

“Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3:8-9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The true righteousness of God is found in Jesus Christ. No one can have right standing with God without Jesus. Paul, the Apostle was enlightened with this truth by the Holy Spirit. This truth applies to each one of us today. The knowledge of Jesus Christ alone makes us righteous in the sight of God. Such knowledge is revealed by the Holy Spirit and not acquired by any other means.

There is a huge difference between knowing Christ and knowing about Christ.
I may know about the Honourable President of this country through social media and by other means, yet I may not know him personally. If I know him personally, I will have access to him and it also gives me an identity and great privileges . So also , when the Holy Spirit reveals Christ to us in a personal way , we have an unshakeable identity and great authority and accordingly our prayer life is revolutionised .

My beloved , may the blessed Holy Spirit reveal Jesus to us and let that knowledge of Jesus Christ revolutionise our lives this week . Amen 🙏

“Now it was a Sabbath when Jesus made the clay and opened his eyes.”
‭‭John‬ ‭9:14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The Lord Jesus always chose to heal on the day of Sabbath .
Sabbath means rest. God had commanded that the sabbath should be reverentially observed and no work is to be done. The intent of the law needs to be understood more than the very content of the law.

Man receives better when he is restful . For example the word “Rapha” in Hebrew means “healing”. However this word “Rapha”comes from the root word “Raphah”. Now the meaning of this root word “Raphah” is “relax” or it simply means to be restful .

God never contradicts Himself. If Rapha (healing ) comes through Raphah (relaxing ) then it absolutely makes sense why God healed on the sabbath ( rest).
The intent behind His healing on Sabbath was missed out by His critics.

My beloved , before God heals our bodies He heals our worried state of mind. Speaking in tongues brings that tranquility. ( Isaiah 28:11,12).
Have a restful posture throughout & see the miracle in Jesus name . Amen 🙏

“When He had said these things, He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva; and He anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay.”
‭‭John‬ ‭9:6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God works in ways that may seem very foolish and even uncivilised to human minds.
Can you imagine someone spitting his saliva on the ground and making clay with it to apply on the blind eyes for a miracle ?

Divine logic is most of the times illogical & foolishness to human minds.
Prophet’s simple instruction to dip in the river Jordan seven times provoked Naaman the leper, so much so that he almost lost the Divine moment for his miracle.
Angel’s message to Zechariah that he would become a father in his old age was questioned which brought a temporary judgement that made him dumb .

My beloved, the truth of the matter is that God wants to heal every one of us through whatever way He sovereignly chooses. But our biased mind set which is scripturally known as unbelief, greatly hinders Him and even frustrates Him. That’s why truly our minds first of all need healing before any other part of our body or soul.

O LORD , please apply the clay and make my day ! Amen 🙏

“And His disciples asked Him, saying, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?””
‭‭John‬ ‭9:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Most of us are so sin conscious that the first thought that comes to our mind when someone is suffering from an ailment is “who sinned” that has resulted in this suffering ?

We wish to figure out who is responsible for the problem rather than knowing what is the way forward . Also, the question asked by the disciples was senseless in a way because *how can a man sin even before his birth *?

My beloved , our God is always the
“way – forward -awesome -God. Even today , He is interested in restoring every loss , healing every wound , setting right every irreparable loss through the knowledge of His Son – Christ Jesus! Amen 🙏
