More grace more thankfulness!

Growing in Grace unto Excellence !

“Then she took it up and went into the city, and her mother-in-law saw what she had gleaned. So she brought out and gave to her what she had kept back after she had been satisfied.
Then Naomi said to her daughter-in-law, “Blessed be he of the LORD, who has not forsaken His kindness to the living and the dead!” And Naomi said to her, “This man is a relation of ours, one of our close relatives.””
‭‭Ruth‬ ‭2:18, 20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

When we grow in the grace of God what is very evident is that we grow in our gratefulness to our Lord .
Naomi who was full of bitterness, but began to praise God Almighty even as she began to experience God’s Grace.
Lack of thankfulness is clear indication that it is high time that we seek for His Favour. Moreover, it’s thankfulness that causes more grace in our life. This has a chain reaction : Grace leading to thankfulness, leading to more Grace and it continues.

What is interesting in the above passage is that Naomi experienced grace because she saw Jesus behind the gleaning of Ruth (“mother-in-law saw what she had gleaned.”) . You may ask how do you know that she saw Jesus ? In the original Hebrew script we find Aleph Tav soon after the word “saw”. Aleph Tav means the Alpha and the Omega in the New Testament . This is truly amazing !
So, growing in grace happens when we begin to have revelation knowledge of Jesus ! Hallelujah! Amen 🙏
Let’s pray that God would reveal Jesus( Aleph Tav) to us !

Desire favor over reward!

Growing in Grace unto Excellence !

“Then she said, “Let me find favor in your sight, my lord; for you have comforted me, and have spoken kindly to your maidservant, though I am not like one of your maidservants.””
‭‭Ruth‬ ‭2:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Here is Ruth who was greatly appreciated by Boaz for her good works . Her amazing conduct of life was as a result of Grace out working . She knew the power of Grace . But when it came to receive the due reward for her good works , she insisted for more grace in her life .

This is truly amazing . Most of us look forward for the due reward for the hard work that we have put in . Doubtlessly , the hard work itself was as a result of Grace outworking in the first place. Also , there is nothing wrong looking forward for the due reward.

However, when the due reward doesn’t result in the estimated time set by us especially when we compare with others lives, disappointment sets in our heart and we begin to slowly drift away from God’s righteousness into self righteousness. We cease growing in grace.
My beloved, let’s focus like Ruth was focussed. She put grace ahead of reward. She was very keen on growing in grace. The final analysis of her life resulted in God’s blessing beyond her expectation.
So shall it be with you today . Amen 🙏
Grow in grace through your confession that you are the righteousness of God on account of Christ’s righteous acts.

I can’t but You can

Then it shall be, when he lies down, that you shall notice (Aleph Tav) the place where he lies; and you shall go in, uncover his feet, and lie down; and he will tell you (Aleph Tav) what you should do.” Ruth 3:4 NKJV

Aleph Tav signifies Jesus. Naomi directed Ruth her daughter-in-law to the feet of Boaz (typified Jesus) for instructions.

Lying at the feet of Jesus is like saying “I can’t but You can”, it is complete submission. It is like letting go of control and allowing Him to control. This is Faith that comes from hearing His word.
No one knows about our next moment, but our Lord knows the end from the beginning. He is in complete control. He knows you more than you know yourself. Every hair on your head is numbered and known to Him.

Dear Beloved, you may be imperfect, but Jesus came to remove this imperfection on the cross. Just believe that His Righteousness has qualified you to significance and prominence in Christ. Your life can only spiral upwards at the feet of Jesus. Amen 🙏

Your security is in Jesus!

Then Naomi her mother-in-law said to her, “My daughter, shall I not seek security for you, that it may be well with you? Ruth 3:1 NKJV

Naomi and Ruth enjoyed the grace granted by Boaz to glean grains from his field up to the end of Barley & wheat harvest. Subsequently, for sustenance, Naomi started seeking security, rest and peace for Ruth.

We find examples in the Bible of people seeking Rest, Peace and Security.
a) A Samaritan woman at the well who had 5 husbands and was currently living with another man.
b) A woman who was caught in the act of adultery.
These women went through failed relationships in their search for peace and rest.

When they had an encounter with Jesus, grace caused them to find rest and be transformed inside-out – from ‘sin to righteousness in Christ’ and from ‘shame to gain in Christ’ . Ruth too had an encounter with the typified Jesus in Boaz. She moved from lack to abundance.

Dear Beloved, the love of Christ Jesus turns our lives right side up. ‘Cast all your cares on to Jesus for He cares for you’ (1Peter 5:7). As you confess “I am the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus ‘, experience His exceeding grace unfold in your life this week.

Bitterness to Blessing !

Then she took it up and went into the city, and her mother-in-law saw (Aleph Tav) what she had gleaned. So, she brought out and gave to her (Aleph Tav) what she had kept back after she had been satisfied.
Ruth 2:18 NKJV

Ruth a foreigner came with her mother-in-law to her country under the wings of Naomi’s God, the God of Israel. She had lost everything like Naomi. However, when she went out looking for food in this new land, completely direction less and lost, she found favour as she got positioned to meet the right person at the right place at the right time.

Grace comes seeking the lost, the least and the last.

She got transformed from lack to abundance, from paucity to plenitude as she carried back a month’s ration in a day’s work.

Aleph Tav signifies Jesus. When Ruth went back to her mother-in-law with this abundance, Naomi could see the onset of this exceptional grace through Jesus. Even in the roasted grain that Ruth had kept back from Boaz’s table, Naomi could see God’s grace through Jesus.

This was also a transformation for Naomi……. from ‘Bitterness’ to ‘Blessing’

Beloved, as we come to the end of this week, Exceptional Grace will put you to meet the right person at the right place at the right time. Now is the time!

Jesus will touch you at your point of need where you are lost, last or least and will change that to plenitude and abundance! Just confess that you are the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

His Righteousness and His Grace – Free gift

So, she gleaned in the field until evening, and beat out what she had gleaned, and it was about an ephah of barley. Then she took it up and went into the city, and her mother-in-law saw what she had gleaned. So, she brought out and gave to her what she had kept back after she had been satisfied.
Ruth 2:17-18

Today one of the most startling facts in the above verse is unfolded
Ruth ‘Beat out’ what she had gleaned. To ‘Beat out’ means to thresh the grain on a hard surface to separate the grain from the chaff. In this verse a symbol of the first & last letter of Hebrew alphabets – ‘Aleph Tav’ is seen that signifies Jesus. This means that It took beating on the body of Christ to bring the untold blessings upon Ruth’s life.

But what had Ruth done to receive grace in her life?
You receive everlasting righteousness of God as a free gift by Faith through grace the second you believe in our Lord Jesus (ref Rom 3:22).
a) In this case Ruth received Naomi’s God as her God without knowing & without seeing.
b) She chose to receive grace and not her reward.

Reward is the outcome of one’s work whereas grace is the outcome of our Lord’s love for us. She clung to grace which is super abounding, rather than reward which is limited.

Dear Beloved just confess that you are the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and receive His super abounding Grace like Ruth did.

Purposely blessings ensures the best!

Ruth 2:17-18 NKJV

Ruth the foreigner hung on to grace, even when she could have claimed her reward that Boaz had offered, as she had chosen to come under the wings of the God of Israel. Consequently ‘purposely blessings’ flowed out in her life as she was allowed to glean on the best of the grains.

An ‘Ephah’ is equivalent to a weight slightly more than 20Kgs. What Ruth gleaned in one day accounted for food for her and Naomi her mother-in-law for the whole month. This would mean 29 days of rest for Ruth.

There are families who often start cutting corners and sometimes resort to borrowing from here and there till the month ends. However, Ruth saw this exceptional grace at its best!

Dearly beloved, ‘Purposely blessings’ come upon you when you choose grace and this day, ‘purposely blessings’ are coming upon you forever as you are the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

Purposely Blessing vs Purposeful Blessing

Now Boaz said to her at mealtime, “Come here, and eat of the bread, and dip your piece of bread in the vinegar.” So, she sat beside the reapers, and he passed parched grain to her; and she ate and was satisfied, and kept some back. And when she rose up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, “Let her glean even among the sheaves, and do not reproach her. Also let grain from the bundles fall purposely for her; leave it that she may glean, and do not rebuke her.
Ruth 2:14-16 NKJV

The above passage beautifully portrays the life of a foreigner who seeks favour above reward. Grace comes rushing into her life.
Breaking of bread signifies the broken body of our Lord Christ Jesus & Vinegar signifies the blood of Jesus shed on calvary’s cross which He gave in exchange for our sins, shame and pain. And on taking part of this Holy Communion, amazing events start unfolding in Ruth’s life as she moves from glory to much greater glory-
a) Ruth’s hunger is satiated and she gets to carry back food for her Mother-in-law
b) Ruth now gets access to prime grain from the reapers directly
Do you know the difference between the words ‘Purposely’ and ‘Purposefully’? ‘Purposefully’ is when you get something to just cover your needs, whereas ‘Purposely’ is when something is done deliberately. When our Lord Jesus does something ‘Purposely’, know that you are the recipient of much beyond your needsHis overflowing Grace.
My beloved, you may be going through challenging times. But our Lord Jesus can cause you to spiral upward to the highest level of honour, the only Way-maker who can catapult you from ‘left-overs’ to the ‘best of favours’. You may want to know how you can be eligible for this? Just confess ‘I am the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus’ and see His love unfold in your life.

“And Boaz answered and said to her, “It has been fully reported to me, all that you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, and how you have left your father and your mother and the land of your birth, and have come to a people whom you did not know before. The LORD repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge.” Then she said, “Let me find favor in your sight, my lord; for you have comforted me, and have spoken kindly to your maidservant, though I am not like one of your maidservants.””
‭‭Ruth‬ ‭2:11-13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The above passage is just marvellous . Ruth demonstrated faith that definitely called for a reward and that is what Boaz blessed her with.
But then , look at her response , “ Let me find favor in your sight, my lord” . She insisted for Grace and grace alone . She quickly admitted that she was not like one of Boaz’s maid servant’s .She knew that she was a foreigner and that being a gentile she would prefer to be treated under the dispensation of Grace – a foreshadow of the Church . She knew that if she would compete with her contemporaries in Israel in keeping the law, she would soon fail on the requirement of the law. However , if she continues in Grace , Grace will enable her to keep the requirement more than needed ( “that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.” Romans‬ ‭8:4‬ ‭)

My beloved , this teaching will take the enlightenment of the Spirit to fully comprehend. I pray that the Lord will throw light on the above passage . Amen 🙏

“But Ruth said: “Entreat me not to leave you, Or to turn back from following after you; For wherever you go, I will go; And wherever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, And your God, my God. Where you die, I will die, And there will I be buried. The LORD do so to me, and more also, If anything but death parts you and me.””
‭‭Ruth‬ ‭1:16-17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

What impresses me the most is how God never shows partiality . Though the children of Israel are His people yet He is still seeking for men and women of other race / caste / religion who will respond positively to God’s amazing Grace .

Ruth a foreigner , once a pagan worshipper decides to follow Jehovah God wholeheartedly until death parts her from the living. From no where this lovely righteous woman becomes the ancestral mother of Jesus Christ . God honored her faithfaith that fully responded to God’s exceptional Grace.
My beloved , you may be an insignificant person today . But this same Jesus can cause you to scale the highest level of honor as He did in life of Ruth . As we come to the end of this week, believe that His righteousness has qualified you to greatness . You are at the brink of your exaltation . Amen 🙏

Have a great weekend !
