The Father of Glory, Your Friend makes you a fountainhead through intercession !

“And the Lord restored Job’s losses when he prayed for his friends. Indeed, the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.”
Job 42:10 NKJV

💡 Insight

Job’s story reveals a profound secret of God’s wisdom: praying for others unlocks your own restoration- unusual miracles, out-of-season blessing .

• Job’s Friends:
They misjudged Job, assumed hidden sin was the cause of his suffering, and condemned him instead of showing mercy. Yet, when Job prayed for them, God restored Job double of all he lost.
• Lot and Abraham:
Lot showed little respect for Abraham. Though blessed through Abraham’s covering, he separated from him at a convenient time. Yet Abraham rescued Lot twice- once by fighting kings to free him, and again by interceding with God for Lot’s life.

Both Job and Abraham interceded for those who disregarded, disrespected, or even opposed them. This application of grace marked them as Friends of God.

1. Praying for others unlocks your own blessing.
2. God sometimes allows trials so others can be saved through your prayers.
3. When you pray for those who wronged you, God releases out-of-season miracles.

Father of Glory,
I thank You for making me a fountainhead of blessing. Teach me to pray for others even those who wronged me. Fill me with Your Spirit and clothe me in the righteousness of Christ so I may walk in Your strength, not my own. Let my intercession become the channel for Your restoration and out-of-season miracles in my life and in the lives of others. Amen.

The Father of Glory – Your Friend makes you a fountainhead!

Scripture

“And He said to them, ‘Which of you shall have a friend, and go to him at midnight and say to him, “Friend, lend me three loaves; for a friend of mine has come to me on his journey, and I have nothing to set before him”’”
Luke 11:5-6 NKJV

Insight

When the disciples asked Jesus to teach them to pray, He unveiled two dimensions of prayer:
1. Closet Prayer (Luke 11:2-4):
• Focused on God as Father.
• He cares for our needs for He already knows our needs before we ask Him
• He forgives our sins.
• He protects and delivers us from evil.
• He gives much more than we ask.

2. Stand-Out Prayer (Luke 11:5-8):
• Focused on God as Friend.
• This prayer is not for self, but for others.
• It is offered even at odd hours.
• It persists when all possibilities seem closed.
• It leans on God’s faithfulness as a Friend.

Example – Abraham, the Friend of God

Abraham interceded for Lot, his family, and the righteous in Sodom and Gomorrah. His prayer stood out because it was not self-centered but a bold plea for others. That is why God called Abraham His friend.

Call to Action

Beloved, allow the Spirit of God to put specific people on your heart. See their need. Pray earnestly for them. Seek their welfare as your own. For it is written:

“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do so.
Do not say to your neighbor, ‘Go, and come back, And tomorrow I will give it,’ When you have it with you.”
Proverbs 3:27-28 NKJV

Father of Glory, thank You for making me a fountainhead of blessing. Teach me to pray not only for myself but also for others. Place Your burden in my heart for those in need. As I stand in the gap, let Your mercies flow through me to the lives of many.

The Father of Glory, Your Friend, gives you His “out of season” blessing! ✨

“Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’?
Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest!”
John 4:35 NKJV

A Call Beyond Seasons

These are the words of Jesus to His disciples. Our expectations are often seasonal, and so our prayers become seasonal too. We allow our minds to be conditioned by presumption, thinking, “It is not yet God’s time.”

But Jesus shatters this fallacy: the harvest is now, not later!

The Lesson of the Virgins

The parable of the ten virgins (Matthew 25:1–13) is a solemn warning. The Lord will come at an unexpected hour.
• The wise virgins carried oil: a picture of the Holy Spirit’s Presence.
• The foolish virgins did not and they missed the Bridegroom.

Wisdom, therefore, is not just knowledge gained, but Christ revealed in us by the Holy Spirit.

🔥 The Holy Spirit’s Role

When the Holy Spirit is given full access in your life:
• He will lead you into “stand-out prayers.”
• He will unlock “out-of-season miracles.”
• He will bring “out-of-turn blessings.”

Do not let traditions, culture, or rigid doctrine condition your mind. Doctrines matter, but the dynamics of the Spirit must take preeminence.

For He is the Spirit of Truth — revealing Christ (John 16:13,14), forming Christ in you ( Galatians 4:19), and manifesting Christ through you ( 2 Corinthians 3:18, Colossians 1:27).

Father of Glory,
Thank You for opening my eyes to see that the fields are already white for harvest. Deliver me from presumption and from being conditioned by times and seasons. Fill me afresh with Your Holy Spirit. “and he will answer from within and say, ‘Do not trouble me; the door is now shut, and my children are with me in bed; I cannot rise and give to you’? I say to you, though he will not rise and give to him because he is his friend, yet because of his persistence he will rise and give him as many as he needs.”

Message

Jesus shared the story of a man who went to his friend at midnight asking for help. Though it was inconvenient- an odd hour, the door was shut, and the family was already asleep yet, because of persistence, the friend rose to meet his need.

💡 If a human friend can be moved to act out of season, how much more our heavenly Friend, Jesus! Truly, what a Friend we have in Jesus!

Out of Season Blessing

Consider this:
• Mark 11:13 says Jesus went to a fig tree, even though “it was not the season for figs.”

Why did He expect fruit out of season? Because the life of a believer is not regulated by earthly time but by the Spirit of God who works beyond seasons and reasons

• 2 Timothy 4:2 instructs, “Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season.”
If evangelism were seasonal, Paul wouldn’t have given such a charge.
The Spirit’s work is constantly working miracles, breakthroughs, and blessings can happen at any moment.

Beloved of the Lord Jesus Christ,

For the past two weeks , the Holy Spirit revealed God as your Father.
This week, the Spirit reveals Him as your Friend.

🔹 As your Father, God gives you “much more” than you ask or imagine.
🔹 As your Friend, God gives you “out of season” favor and blessings.

This takes us into a new dimension of prayer, what the Spirit calls “Stand-Out Prayer.”

🙏 Stand-Out Prayer vs. Closet Prayer
• Last week: Closet Prayer, personal communion with God in secret.
• This week: Stand-Out Prayer– unusual prayer that asks, seeks, and knocks when:
• It’s an odd time (midnight – v.5).
• The door seems shut (not the season – v.7).
• dear ones are at rest (not a favorable time – v.7).

Yet God, your Friend, responds with out-of-turn miracles!

This week is your week of “Out of Season Miracles.”
Even when there seems to be no opportunity, no scope, no reason, your Friend, Jesus, still blesses you.

Abraham was called the friend of God because he believed in God’s righteousness (James 2:23).

The understanding of “All things work together for good…” is made possible because of the Holy Spirit’s intercession within us.

Key Insight: A Better Way to Pray

The preacher in Ecclesiastes 5:2 reminds us not to be rash with our words in prayer, for we often do not know what God desires us to ask. Apostle Paul echoes this truth that we simply don’t know how to pray as we ought.

But here’s the Good News:
Our Father has not left us helpless. He freely gives us His Holy Spirit, who comes alongside to help us in our weakness and to teach us a better way to pray.

🌿 Humility Before God

True humility is admitting before God:
• “Father God, I don’t know what to pray or how to present my requests.”
• “I need the help of Your Spirit.”

This attitude pleases God, for it shifts the focus from self-effort to Spirit-dependence. Your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.

Yielding to the Spirit’s Prayer

When you allow the Holy Spirit to pray through you:

• You receive utterances beyond human vocabulary- a pure, heavenly language.

This is the language of the Spirit, first given on the day of Pentecost, when the disciples spoke with new tongues. What an awesome gift!

📖 Scripture Focus

“Walk prudently when you go to the house of God; and draw near to hear rather than to give the sacrifice of fools, for they do not know that they do evil.”

💡 A Better Way to Pray!

• “Draw near to hear” — this is the posture of closet prayer.
• When I know my Father already knows my needs before I ask, my focus shifts from requests to listening to His voice.

🕊️ Drawing Near
• “Draw me away and we will run after You.” (Song of Solomon 1:4)
This should be our early morning whisper to the Blessed Holy Spirit, because He alone can help to focus to hear His voice amid life’s distractions. It is His voice that matters most.
• Solomon’s all-night longing was simple:
“Give Your servant an understanding mind and a hearing heart…” (1 Kings 3:9 AMPC).
This became the reason for his establishment as “king over all Israel” ( 1 Kings 4:1).

🔑 The Fruit of a Hearing Heart
• “Let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.” (James 1:19)
This is the fruit of the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus as a result of the inworking of the Holy Spirit in us.
• “He awakens me morning by morning, He awakens my ear to hear as the learned.” (Isaiah 50:4)
This awakening is not of physical ears but the inner man, made sensitive to the Spirit and aware to the unseen world that governs the visible one.
