Beholding Jesus Navigates You To The Other Side!

“Immediately Jesus made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, while He sent the multitudes away. But the boat was now in the middle of the sea, tossed by the waves, for the wind was contrary.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭14‬:‭22‬, ‭24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

My beloved, as I mentioned yesterday, God’s destiny for us is beyond our human perception. Therefore, His guidance or means of navigation to have His desired haven in our lives is misunderstood often times.

It was not the choice of the disciples to go to the other side, all the more seeing that their loving Saviour, the Lord Jesus was not accompanying them. However, the Lord urged them to sail to the other side. In fact, I assume that at least one of the disciples knew well in advance of the trouble that was ahead of them which was confirmed when they encountered the contrary wind. For this reason they were reluctant to sail across without the Lord.

But, Jesus wanted them to understand the realm of the spirits, for as yet they had no or very little understanding of this superior dimension that controls or exerts influence on the human affairs on earth.

My beloved, no training is simple or comforting during its course, because we all wish to remain in our comfort zones & we are reluctant to venture into a new experience. But God wants us to move forward in life and as a Father, He wants His children to be fully trained so that they are the head and always above the rest. We are called and destined to reign! Hallelujah!

The Word says, “All things work together for good for those who love God ..” (Romans 8:28). All things may not and perhaps will not begin as good but all things will work together for good. This is certain!
Therefore, my friend, do not be discouraged if you find yourself in the troubled waters. Be of good cheer! The Lord will come through to see you through and make you above to reign in Jesus name !

Beholding Jesus Navigates You To Your God Designed Destiny!

“Immediately He made His disciples get into the boat and go before Him to the other side, to Bethsaida, while He sent the multitude away. Now when evening came, the boat was in the middle of the sea; and He was alone on the land. Then He saw them straining at rowing, for the wind was against them. Now about the fourth watch of the night He came to them, walking on the sea, and would have passed them by.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭6‬:‭45‬, ‭47‬-‭48‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

My beloved friend, the Father’s heart is to give you the desires of your heart though He is able to do far exceedingly more than we ask or even think.
His destiny for us is beyond our human perception. Therefore His guidance or means of navigation to have His desired haven for us is very much needed but most-times it’s misunderstood.

The Lord often times demonstrated this in the lives of His disciples though they didn’t understand. One such instance is beautifully explained in today’s scripture portion for our meditation.

Lord Jesus urged His disciples to sail unto the other side of the shore called Bethsaida and He Himself didn’t accompany them. A simple journey looked tough & threatening, even though they were trained fishermen, They could not row through the sea because the wind was contrary. They kept struggling for over 9 hours and had covered only half the distance ( total of 21km across)

My beloved, the struggles that we go through in life to meet our ends or to pursue our dreams exhausts us and sometimes we even give up. However, this week the Holy Spirit will begin to unlock the Father’s good pleasure for you and carry you through, to His desired haven in Jesus name! Amen 🙏

Beholding Jesus Is Being Restored To The Father!

“But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭15‬:‭22‬-‭24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The fatted calf was a special delicacy meant for a special occasion, just like we preserve a certain thing for a certain occasion such as a birthday or anniversary or Christmas or for a great celebration.

Even though the celebration began by putting on the best robe, a precious ring and a great pair of sandals , but I would say that the culmination of the celebration was by bringing in the most precious catted calf to be killed and eaten . That was the extravagant lavishing of the love by the father.

The fatted calf was to be killed one day or other but the occasion chosen for such a pompous celebration became the bone of contention from the older son’s perspective.

To him, the return of his younger brother who wasted all the time and resources through his prodigal living, was seen as a wasteful effort wasting everyone’s time.

But, to the father , the younger son was dead in trespasses and sins, now he is restored back to life (Ephesians 2:1). He was lost beyond recovery but is miraculously found now . The fatted calf was the most exquisite and priceless thing of the father that was sacrificed which resulted in the younger son, never to die again and never to be lost again.

Yes my beloved, God the Father sacrificed His Son so that we will never die but have everlasting life ; we will never be lost again but be one with God our Father forever righteous! Hallelujah 🙏

God can go out of the way, to any extent and give anything to just have you. He is interested in you and not yours . He receives you the way you are . Just come to Him as you are! Amen 🙏

Beholding Jesus Is Returning To The Father’s Love!

“I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” ’”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭15‬:‭18‬-‭19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The younger son confessed that he had sinned against heaven ( that is against God ) and against his father.
But what was the sin ?

Was it that the son asked for his portion of the father’s inheritance ( v 12) ?
NO ! Because the father divided his inheritance between both the brothers even to the older son who did not demand it.

Was it then that he carried his inheritance to a far country and wasted all his possessions in a prodigal living (v13) ?
Well, his portion of the inheritance was his now and he had the right to use it the way he wanted and accordingly suffered for his choice & squandering. The matter was all over.

What then was the sin?
He estranged himself from his loving father for no rhyme or reason, drawn by his own will & pleasure. That was the sin & therefore, he decided to arise and return to his father.

The interesting part of human beings is that when they realise that they had sinned, they will like to punish themselves. So also, the son decided to become a servant in his father’s house for all his wrong choices & doings.
But the father never disowned his son. He is still his son and will remain his son always . And on the return of his son who was lost & found now , the father received him with gladness, treated him with compassion and honoured him as his son and encouraged others to make merry with Him.

So also, my beloved, the death of the Lord Jesus has once and for all made you righteous and has reconciled you with God the Father as His beloved child. All our sins are washed away.

The true repentance comes only when we come to ourselves and realize the goodness of God . Yes, God is good all the time! Amen 🙏

Beholding Jesus is Knowing the Father’s Love !

““But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭15‬:‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

_“He came to himself” was the turning point for the restoration in the life of the prodigal son_. Before he came to himself, it is obvious that he was beside himself.

He went after wealth and glamour , resulting in poverty . He sought after human help through migration into another place which resulted in slavery.

But, when he came to himself, he saw the truth of life that only his own father can alone truly love him unconditionally and care for him and only in His father’s house there is enough & more to spare.

Yes my beloved, we can safely trust God who is our Daddy as well. I am reminded of a lovely hymn “What a friend we have in Jesus!” Yes, in Him we are sure to have our cares and burdens addressed.

Our heart needs a course correction every day just as a space craft needs proper navigation after it is launched into the space to arrive pointedly at the desired destination.
Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God that guides him to his desired haven.

May the blessed Holy Spirit impart into us the grace to “come to ourselves” on a daily basis so that we will fling ourselves safely into the loving and compassionate arms of our Daddy! Amen 🙏

Beholding Jesus is Knowing the Father’s inheritance!

“And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me.’ So he divided to them his livelihood. But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want. Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭15‬:‭12‬, ‭14‬-‭16‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The Scripture portion taken this morning is from what is famously known as the parable of the prodigal son, who estranged himself from his father, taking with him what was rightfully his inheritance from his loving father.

He spent all of it in prodigal living and the Word says that there arose a famine and since he didn’t have any resources left to sustain himself & he began to be in want. He lacked even the basic necessities such as food, clothes, shelter & also good friends who could have bailed him out or friends who could work like destiny connectors like Mordecai in the life of Esther, who became Queen. Esther was raised to her God ordained destiny because Mordecai was her destiny connector.

But, if we look intently at the reason behind this famine, the Spirit teaches us that there was actually a famine of the father’s love in the son’s life first of all. This was caused by the personal choice of the son by estranging himself from the father.

Yes my beloved, let’s return to our Heavenly Daddy God!
And feeding on the Father’s love daily will keep you closest to Him just the way John the beloved Apostle kept himself in the bosom of Jesus( love of God ). The 180 degree turnaround in the son’s life took place because of the realisation of this divine truth.

Prayer: Father, grant me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation of thyself and of Jesus your most beloved Son in Jesus name ! Amen 🙏

Beholding Jesus is Knowing the Father’s inheritance!

“The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭16‬-‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

When you receive Jesus in your heart, the Holy Spirit causes you to be born of God. That means you are born again. It takes your willingness & consent. Whereas your first birth out of your natural parents didn’t involve your consent at all & you have no choice.

However, your second birth is of God . This takes your consent to receive Jesus as your Lord and the Saviour, of your own free will. It takes your will to be surrendered to His will. When that happens, you are born again or born of God & born of God’s Spirit.
That’s why the Spirit of God bears witness with our spirit that we are the children of God.

If we are children then we are heir – yes, heir of God & joint heirs with Christ. This means that you have an inheritance of God the Father & a joint inheritance with Christ.
How great and how rich is your inheritance? The answer is how great and how rich is your Father God!
My beloved, we need an understanding of who our God the Father is now. This understanding comes from the Spirit when we seek Him.
This week, the Holy Spirit will enlighten our understanding to know our Daddy God and through this understanding not only our needs and necessities are met but also, we are destined to Father’s abundance to prosper us in all things on this earth in Jesus name.

Beholding Jesus is Knowing the Father!

“For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.””
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Throughout the history of mankind, priests use the subject of God to sound threat, punishment and hell in the lives of people. This served as a bondage in their lives.

Men served God out of fear and never out of love. They tithe out of fear of punishment of failure. The Law of moses had many curses on non compliance. Fear of these curses gripped the worshippers and if any suffer from any prolonged ailment or permanent misfortune, it was attributed to God’s punishment on account of their sin.
A classical example to quote from is John 9:2 where the blindness of the man born blind was attributed to either his sin or his parent’s. No one was spared from this demon- influenced ordeal , no not even the righteous Job.

The advent of Jesus put an end to this man made fear & delivered mankind from sin, curses and its strongly associated fear and punishment thereof. He became sin to make us righteous forever. He became curse to make us blessed forever. He tasted death on behalf of everyone and above all He gave us the Spirit of Adoption that we cry out to God as Abba, Father out of love. We no longer cry out of fear & bondage.

My beloved friend, this is an experience that God is now our Daddy, our Father. It is an ongoing experience forever. This happens through a Divine operation of the Holy Spirit when we receive the love of Jesus for us.

Oh what manner of love God has bestowed on us that when we were yet sinners, Christ died for the ungodly! Amen 🙏

Beholding Jesus is Knowing the Father!

“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Once a thief and a murderer stealthily entered the house of a happy and peace loving family. While he was stealing the valuables in the house, the son of the family caught him red handed. The thief quickly braced himself and even attacked the son badly and killed him.

Behold the son was the only begotten of his parents. The case came up before the Judge of the city, the bereaved father who was the eye witness to the murder, stood up to speak from the witness box. He had two options before him:
1. Seek justice for the blood of his son and thereby the murderer is sentenced to death, or
2. Pardon the murderer and plead with the Judge for the murderer’s release.

The bereaved father chose the second option and was successful in pleading with the Judge to release the murderer.
_But, he didn’t stop there. Later the father approached the murderer and said, “My son is no more. Can you become our son instead and bring joy to me and my wife? _”_At this point, the murderer broke down and pleaded with the father for his forgiveness. Eventually he became the heir of the father, for the father was the richest man in the city_.

So also, my beloved, the history witnesses the death of Jesus in the hands of the Jews and the Romans. That is true. But, our sins too killed the Lord Jesus.
Not only God forgave and forever declared us righteous but also made us His own children and gave us the Holy Spirit by whom we cry to God saying, “Abba Father”.
Today, like the bereaved father, God longs to become your Father, yes your Daddy God! Your Abba Father through the blood of His Only Son!
Will you not open your heart and receive Him as your Father today ? I am sure you will!

Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Hallelujah! Amen 🙏

Beholding Jesus is Knowing the Father!

“Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.” ‭‭I John‬ ‭3‬:‭1‬-NKJV‬‬
“For to which of the angels did He ever say: “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You”? And again: “I will be to Him a Father, And He shall be to Me a Son”?”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭1‬:‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Angels are far superior in strength and glory than human beings, yet none of the them can call God as their Father, even though they are called as ‘sons of God’ in certain places such as in Job 1:6. They are created beings & God to them is known as Elohim, the Creator.

Even Adam could not call God as his Father. To him, God was the LORD God which means Jehovah Elohim. This is because he was a created being, created in the image of Him and after His likeness (Genesis 1:26). Elohim is Jehovah to human race that made covenant with God to worship Him alone. This was carried on by the children of Israel who called their God as JEHOVAH.

However, when the Lord Jesus Christ came, God sent Him as His Own Son – the Only Begotten One. This Jesus for the first time in human history and in the history of all created beings addressed God as His Father and preached and declared to all sinners that from now on this God , the Almighty One is our Father too. For this Jesus paid the heaviest price to take away our sins by shedding His own blood .
Every one who has accepted Jesus as his / her own Lord and Saviour is grafted into the family of God and God is his/her own Father because of the precious Blood of Jesus.

Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called the children of God! Hallelujah! Today we have God as our Father-Abba Father ! Amen 🙏
