Now Boaz said to her at mealtime, “Come here, and eat of the bread, and dip your piece of bread in the vinegar.” So, she sat beside the reapers, and he passed parched grain to her; and she ate and was satisfied, and kept some back. And when she rose up to glean, Boaz commanded his young men, saying, “Let her glean even among the sheaves, and do not reproach her. Also let grain from the bundles fall purposely for her; leave it that she may glean, and do not rebuke her.
Ruth 2:14-16 NKJV

The above passage beautifully portrays the life of a foreigner who seeks favour above reward. Grace comes rushing into her life.
Breaking of bread signifies the broken body of our Lord Christ Jesus & Vinegar signifies the blood of Jesus shed on calvary’s cross which He gave in exchange for our sins, shame and pain. And on taking part of this Holy Communion, amazing events start unfolding in Ruth’s life as she moves from glory to much greater glory-
a) Ruth’s hunger is satiated and she gets to carry back food for her Mother-in-law
b) Ruth now gets access to prime grain from the reapers directly
Do you know the difference between the words ‘Purposely’ and ‘Purposefully’? ‘Purposefully’ is when you get something to just cover your needs, whereas ‘Purposely’ is when something is done deliberately. When our Lord Jesus does something ‘Purposely’, know that you are the recipient of much beyond your needs – His overflowing Grace.
My beloved, you may be going through challenging times. But our Lord Jesus can cause you to spiral upward to the highest level of honour, the only Way-maker who can catapult you from ‘left-overs’ to the ‘best of favours’. You may want to know how you can be eligible for this? Just confess ‘I am the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus’ and see His love unfold in your life.

“And Boaz answered and said to her, “It has been fully reported to me, all that you have done for your mother-in-law since the death of your husband, and how you have left your father and your mother and the land of your birth, and have come to a people whom you did not know before. The LORD repay your work, and a full reward be given you by the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings you have come for refuge.” Then she said, “Let me find favor in your sight, my lord; for you have comforted me, and have spoken kindly to your maidservant, though I am not like one of your maidservants.””
‭‭Ruth‬ ‭2:11-13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The above passage is just marvellous . Ruth demonstrated faith that definitely called for a reward and that is what Boaz blessed her with.
But then , look at her response , “ Let me find favor in your sight, my lord” . She insisted for Grace and grace alone . She quickly admitted that she was not like one of Boaz’s maid servant’s .She knew that she was a foreigner and that being a gentile she would prefer to be treated under the dispensation of Grace – a foreshadow of the Church . She knew that if she would compete with her contemporaries in Israel in keeping the law, she would soon fail on the requirement of the law. However , if she continues in Grace , Grace will enable her to keep the requirement more than needed ( “that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.” Romans‬ ‭8:4‬ ‭)

My beloved , this teaching will take the enlightenment of the Spirit to fully comprehend. I pray that the Lord will throw light on the above passage . Amen 🙏

“But Ruth said: “Entreat me not to leave you, Or to turn back from following after you; For wherever you go, I will go; And wherever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, And your God, my God. Where you die, I will die, And there will I be buried. The LORD do so to me, and more also, If anything but death parts you and me.””
‭‭Ruth‬ ‭1:16-17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

What impresses me the most is how God never shows partiality . Though the children of Israel are His people yet He is still seeking for men and women of other race / caste / religion who will respond positively to God’s amazing Grace .

Ruth a foreigner , once a pagan worshipper decides to follow Jehovah God wholeheartedly until death parts her from the living. From no where this lovely righteous woman becomes the ancestral mother of Jesus Christ . God honored her faith …faith that fully responded to God’s exceptional Grace.
My beloved , you may be an insignificant person today . But this same Jesus can cause you to scale the highest level of honor as He did in life of Ruth . As we come to the end of this week, believe that His righteousness has qualified you to greatness . You are at the brink of your exaltation . Amen 🙏

Exceptional Grace seeks you !

“And she said, “Look, your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and to her gods; return after your sister-in-law.”
When she saw that she was determined to go with her, she stopped speaking to her.”
‭‭Ruth‬ ‭1:15, 18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Ruth was determined to go with Naomi despite Naomi dissuading her. When Grace comes seeking you , follow Grace .
When you rest on the grace of God (1 Peter 1:13), no matter whatever dissuades you , yet you will be determined to go because of the strong persuasion of the Grace within . This is the inner voice of His Grace to press on .
Such a persuasion has a sure reward . This is what Apostle Paul , the Apostle of grace followed : “I press toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians‬ ‭3:14‬ ‭. Let the Grace of Christ work in you to fulfil His upward call in your life
When there is a shake up in life , keep your confession of your identity in Christ Jesus – You are the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus . Every opposing wind will bow down and you will reach your desired haven . Amen 🙏

“Then she arose with her daughters-in-law that she might return from the country of Moab, for she had heard in the country of Moab that the LORD had visited His people by giving them bread.”
‭‭Ruth‬ ‭1:6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Grace and Faith should go together. Grace is honoured and respected when responded by faith.

My beloved, look at the above verse. Naomi first of all heard the good news that the Lord had visited His people – this is Grace that came seeking . But did she stop at hearing / reading? What was her response ? Let’s look at the verse again – “ Then she arose with her daughters in law“ . This is responding to Grace called as Faith. Therefore faith is man’s part whereas Grace is God’s part.
Always Grace precedes over Faith. God initiates (Grace) and man responds (faith).
Now the response needs to the positive . Let’s look at the verse again – “Then she arose with her daughters-in-law that she might return..”. That she might return – that’s positive move. When we hear about His visitation let us return to the Beloved of our souls , the Darling of our souls. Here our mind most probably will require healing .

My beloved , let’s not take the Grace of God in vain by not responding in a positive manner. Let’s pray to Him asking for our minds to be healed . A positive step from us taps God’s powerful Grace ! Amen 🙏

‭‭Ruth‬ ‭1:6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We all know that the Lord Jesus came as a human being at one point of history. However, He always existed as the Eternal One . We find this in John 1:1. He not only existed before any thing else began, but also through Him all things were created ( John 1:2)
If we don’t see Him as the Eternal One , He is then just a historical figure . The Lord Jesus can be seen throughout the whole bible . He revealed Himself as Aleph Tav in the Old Testament . Aleph is the first letter of the Hebrew language and Tav is the last letter.
The Lord reveals His awesome identity of Aleph and Tav in the book of the Revelation of Jesus Christ 1:8
“I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End,” says the Lord, “who is and who was and who is to come, the Almighty.”
When you begin to see the Lord Jesus in the Old Testament, you will began to experience blessing untold and unheard. God graciously reveals His Son . Let’s long for God’s amazing revelation of the Lord Jesus as revealed as Aleph Tav . God’s visitation in your life as He visited Bethlehem can well become the destiny changing moment of your life . Amen 🙏

“So she fell on her face, bowed down to the ground, and said to him, “Why have I found favor in your eyes, that you should take notice of me, since I am a foreigner?””
‭‭Ruth‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This is amazing ! Ruth trusted in the favor ( Grace ) of God (“So Ruth the Moabitess said to Naomi, “Please let me go to the field, and glean heads of grain after him in whose sight I may find favor.” And she said to her, “Go, my daughter.””Ruth‬ ‭2:2‬ ‭). She came seeking for the favor of God . However , what she experienced was exceptional grace- Grace of all graces …too much Grace … too much love showered upon her beyond measure.
My beloved , this is what we should crave for . Feed yourself with His lavish love . Know for sure that you can never exhaust His love . Ruth experienced this exceptional grace and fell down at his feet . I wish that you get drenched with His extravagant love & drunk with His Holy Spirit . Amen 🙏

“That night the king could not sleep. So one was commanded to bring the book of the records of the chronicles; and they were read before the king. And it was found written that Mordecai had told of Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s eunuchs, the doorkeepers who had sought to lay hands on King Ahasuerus. Then the king said, “What honor or dignity has been bestowed on Mordecai for this?” And the king’s servants who attended him said, “Nothing has been done for him.”” Esther‬ ‭6:1-3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Mordecai saved the life of the king from the conspiracy plotted by the king’s own body guard . However , he was not rewarded for his act of bravery . One night the king could not get sleep. It was the night of the visitation of God’s exceptional Grace that exceeded far greater and higher than the reward ( if at all a reward had been given to Mordecai ) of Mordecai .
Yes my beloved , as we come to the end of this week, know for sure that God has not forgotten you. The reward that was due to you might not have come to you . People in authority would have forgotten you . Be of good cheer, the Exceptional Grace hasn’t forgotten you. He comes seeking you to give you the highest honor and dignity , even if it takes to remove sleep off from him who is in authority to reward you.
The set time has come to experience the greatest honor of your life. Remember, that night when the king couldn’t sleep ….it reminds me of that night when the Lord Jesus Christ was betrayed . His betrayal by the hands of the wicked men made us to be accepted as beloved before God the Father. For this reason the Exceptional Grace will take us beyond our rightful reward. Amen 🙏

“Then she left, and went and gleaned in the field after the reapers. And she (Ruth ) happened to come to the part of the field belonging to Boaz, who was of the family of Elimelech.”
‭‭Ruth‬ ‭2:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This is just amazing !
Ruth had lost her husband and was almost left with nothing in life. She trusted the Jehovah God. She came to Bethlehem being divinely inspired , started off a new life with her mother- in – law even though it was a humble beginning .

Now comes the most significant moment of her entire life ….”And she (Ruth ) happened to come to the part of the field belonging to Boaz” . If we have to narrate the story , we may say that by chance she stumbled upon the field of Boaz . No , this was not by chance. It was a divinely orchestrated event to bring Ruth to the person called Boaz.

When Exceptional Grace is at work , God divinely brings you to the right person , at the right time and to the right place .
She didn’t plan or push her way but exceptional grace came upon her life & this grace ushered her to her divine destiny .

This day , I declare that the God of Exceptional Grace will usher you to scale exceptional excellence in your life beyond your expectations in Jesus name . Amen 🙏

‭‭John‬ ‭11:25‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:33‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Great grace or Exceptional grace was operating through the Apostles even as they were witnessing to the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Yes my beloved , when we testify that Jesus rose again from the dead & never to die again , we experience this exceptional grace.
How does this apply today practically ?

Let’s look into our personal lives .. do you see broken homes ,single mothers, terminal disease conditions,chronic sicknesses , hopelessness relating to jobs , promotions pending, education incomplete , business deals stalemated …..it simply means death . But when we receive the truth that Jesus our Lord rose from the dead , conquering death and gives life to every hopeless situation , we experience this Exceptional Grace and you become an exception !

Jesus is the resurrection ! He resurrects every area of hopelessness ( death ). Exceptional Grace conquers death . By receiving this Exceptional Grace we reign ! Amen 🙏
