God makes you an eternal excellence !

“And when they came to Jesus, they begged Him earnestly, saying that the one for whom He should do this was deserving,
Then Jesus went with them. And when He was already not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to Him, saying to Him, “Lord, do not trouble Yourself, for I am not worthy that You should enter under my roof.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭7:4, 6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The elders of Jews came to the Lord Jesus pleading with Him that He should heal the Centurion’s servant because he deserved it.However, the Centurion himself confessed that he doesn’t deserve God’s unmerited Favor .
The Centurion was right and the Lord Jesus commended him for his Great Faith .

Beloved of the Lord , as we begin this new week , settle this in your heart and mind that God can be pleased only through our acknowledgement that every blessing upon mankind is out of His unmerited Favor that can not be earned .
This approach to God takes us to excellence!

“I lifted my eyes and looked, and behold, a certain man clothed in linen, whose waist was girded with gold of Uphaz! His body was like beryl, his face like the appearance of lightning, his eyes like torches of fire, his arms and feet like burnished bronze in color, and the sound of his words like the voice of a multitude.”
‭‭Daniel‬ ‭10:5-6‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Daniel’s excellent spirit, was the result of a personal revelation of Jesus Christ to him. Apart from this , Daniel also had a personal, face to face encounter with Christ !

Paul the Apostle beautifully defines the secret of excellence as, “Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ” – Philippians‬ ‭3:8‬ ‭
The man who is willing to let go or exchange or suffer loss that he may gain Christ is of excellent spirit .

My beloved , Christ is that Excellent Spirit that needs to be pursued .

Learning Christ is the greatest earning !
The True Excellence !!

God makes you an eternal excellence !

“O my God, incline Your ear and hear; open Your eyes and see our desolations, and the city which is called by Your name; for we do not present our supplications before You because of our righteous deeds, but because of Your great mercies.”
‭‭Daniel‬ ‭9:18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Here is the man of excellent spirit – Daniel , praying with understanding , the prayer of righteousness.
Our prayers should be directed to God , on the basis of what Christ has done on the Cross of Calvary. Daniel prayed that he didn’t come to God on basis of his own righteousness but because of God’s mercies. While he was still praying , an angel appeared to him, commending him as the greatly beloved of God !
His righteousness makes you of an excellent spirit .
Keep confessing that your are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and experience the manifestation of His excellent spirit through you! Amen 🙏

“Therefore Daniel went to Arioch, whom the king had appointed to destroy the wise men of Babylon. He went and said thus to him: “Do not destroy the wise men of Babylon; take me before the king, and I will tell the king the interpretation.””
‭‭Daniel‬ ‭2:24‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The King of Babylon had a dream that troubled his mind because he couldn’t recollect the dream afterward . So he made a very unreasonable demand before his wise men that they should tell him what he dreamt and the interpretation of it as well . If they failed in doing so , they would be beheaded . This was ruthless !
No one could fulfil the demand of this ruthless king except Daniel in whom was an excellent spirit .
What is the reason for this excellent spirit ?
His humility – Yes, Daniel was a humble man . A humble man always thinks of the interest of others (“Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others.”
Philippians‬ 2:4‬‭).
The wise men of Babylon were getting beheaded. But, as soon as Daniel got the revelation for what was the King’s dream and its interpretation from God , he immediately approached Arioch who was in charge of slaughtering the wise men who couldn’t tell the king’s dream. By the time Daniel reached the king with the dream & the interpretation many would had been slaughtered by Arioch. But, Daniel with an excellent spirit first of all approached Arioch & stopped the slaughter before he even approached the king. He had an excellent spirit because of his humility . Amen 🙏

“in the first year of his reign I, Daniel, understood by the books the number of the years specified by the word of the LORD through Jeremiah the prophet, that He would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
And I prayed to the LORD my God, and made confession, and said, “O Lord, great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and mercy with those who love Him, and with those who keep His commandments,” Daniel‬ ‭9:2, 4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The excellent spirit in Daniel was because he was a man of prayer . He didn’t pray the way millions pray today . His prayer was based on what he understood from the Holy Scriptures .
Yesterday we saw that he was a student of the Holy Scriptures . He converted his understanding of the Holy Scriptures into prayers . He was praying prayers not just saying words.
Millions pray . But millions aren’t of excellent spirit. So, Prayers need to be directed by the pattern defined in the Holy Scriptures. I have taught my congregation and audience to pray as guided by Paul the Apostle in Ephesians 1:17-20. Thousands have testified the power of this prayer. I have also given the prayer cards to many who have come back testifying the Power of the Lord Jesus. Hallelujah!
My beloved , this is the second secret of this man Daniel who was of excellent spirit that caused him to excel far above his contemporaries. You too can be so! Amen 🙏

“Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the governors and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him; and the king gave thought to setting him over the whole realm.”
‭‭Daniel‬ ‭6:3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The success of Daniel is that he had an excellent spirit in him . Because he had an excellent spirit he was head and shoulders above his contemporaries.

What is an excellent spirit ?
If you read throughout the book of Daniel, you will find Daniel was a student of the Holy Scriptures . He gave himself to the word . He gained understanding and wisdom by meditating in the Word of Christ. There is no short cut to this.
Your spirit perceives God’s ways and God’s time through God’s word . It is the Word of Christ that makes you a man or woman of excellence!
Give your time to know Jesus through the scripture- His written word ! This is the secret of having an excellent spirit which will distinguish you above everyone else !!

God makes you an eternal excellence !!

“And Moses was learned in all the wisdom of the Egyptians, and was mighty in words and deeds.
“This Moses whom they rejected, saying, ‘Who made you a ruler and a judge?’ is the one God sent to be a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the Angel who appeared to him in the bush.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭7:22, 35‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Here is the making of a man for the Master’s use . Moses was a man of eloquent speech and efficient actions. He gained wisdom that the world had taught him . He was a chief architect in building the Egyptian empire then.
But, to build God’s kingdom , one needs the wisdom from above , character of divine temperance within & the compassion of God .
To become eternal excellence , God’s Spirit first of all causes us to unlearn the world’s principles and learn God’s precepts . The time taken can be big or small depending upon our cooperation.
Moses yielded to God’s in-working of Grace and outworking of His righteousness through Grace (ROM 5:21) . Amazing !
This man Moses is still remembered, even today and forever will be remembered . However , other mighty men of his times we don’t even get to hear of them .
My beloved , there is just one life. Is it well spent or well invested ? Is it for the Master’s use or the world’s?
God through Christ has something greater and better for you !
The first step is to know Christ – His Grace and His Righteousness. Then, continue to unlearn the world and learn Christ – this makes you an eternal excellence! Amen 🙏

God makes you an eternal excellence !!

“Then He said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.””
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭4:19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were uneducated and untrained men, they marveled. And they realized that they had been with Jesus.”
‭‭Acts‬ ‭4:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

From fishermen to fishers of men! From being under the bondage of fear to being bold like a lion!! From being unlearned and untrained men to be men of eloquent of speech ….and the world marvelled . That’s what the Lord Jesus did in the lives of His disciples. Truly amazing!
These men rose from mediocrity to magnificence, from ordinary to extra ordinary , from nobody to eternal excellence.
Yes my beloved ! This same Lord Jesus can do the same with you and make you an eternal excellence. It only takes a willing mind and a yielding heart to receive His super abounding grace and the gift of righteousness to transform you into God’s excellence for the world to marvel . Amen 🙏

God who rewards you !!

“And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the portion of goods that falls to me. ’ So he divided to them his livelihood.
“And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭15:12, 31‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Often we think that the father gave the portion of his inheritance only to his younger son as he insisted on having it. It is true that the younger son did insist to have his share . However, the truth of the matter is that the father divided the inheritance to both His sons.
The older son had his own share too, even though he didn’t ask for it. Therefore, the older son shouldn’t have complained, because the fatted calf & the celebration were not out of his own share .
The point that upset him was that he was not rewarded even though he worked hard in serving his father all throughout.
The greatest reward is not for what we do unto God , rather how much we enjoy being in constant fellowship with the father. And also being in the constant fellowship with the Father which causes us to inherit ALL that the father has . Amen 🙏

My beloved friend , as we end this month ,
Let us remind ourselves that God is always Right & Just in His reward and His reward is even for the outworking of His Grace in our lives .
Remember, He longs to hear us calling Him ,
“ Abba, Father “

God who rewards you !!

““But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you, “. And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭15:17-18, 20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The above story of the prodigal son is actually a heart rendering & a very moving reality of a loving Dad !

When the younger son had spent his precious youth in his prodigal living & came to his wits end, the Holy Spirit brought him to his senses. The first thing that came to his mind was the generosity of his Father that extended even to the hired servants.
As the son arose & came to His Father, while the son was still a great way off, the Father lavished His love on him, putting on him the best robe, a ring on his finger & sandals on his feet! The son never expected this, as he wished that he would be accepted as one of the hired servants.
This is what Grace is all about . Going beyond our expectation and blessing us even though we are not worthy.

Even today, my dear friend, it doesn’t matter what has been your past . Your own heart may condemn you . But your Father’s love is beyond you could fathom . He will surely restore all your losses in terms of status , health , wealth and time.

Your God in Heaven is eagerly yearning to hear you calling Him, “ Abba, Father”. Your restoration of relationship leads to restoration of all other blessings . Will you now call Him , “ Abba, Father”?
This indeed is the most powerful prayer !
