“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,”

We are not born perfect rather we are made perfect over a period of time. Mistakes do happen to all of us & we all mature & grow up into His image.

Yet it is our attitude towards the mistakes & blunders we had committed in the past that matters most.

Adam and Eve were told not to eat the fruit from the forbidden true. But, they went ahead to eat and felt so guilty that they hid themselves for they found themselves naked. They thought they would become wise instead they entered into a world of vices. They ran away from God, blaming each other & got into a wrong attitude. Instead of saying, “God, we got it wrong, we messed it up, please help us”, they started to give excuses & blamed each other .

My beloved, what matters most is our attitude when we make mistakes. Blaming the spouse, blaming the children, blaming our background, blaming the Government, blaming the boss, blaming the weather , even blaming God…..shows one’s poor attitude.
Apostle Paul said, “one thing I do, forgetting the past and reaching forward to the goal that is ahead”.
Stop blaming and receive the balm of God – Jesus Christ who heals the broken hearted. He erases you past. He gives a brand new start – where New creation emerges & the old things have passed away.
Make Jesus your Righteousness and He will make all your wrongs right. Path of righteousness is a straight way, the Right Way where you are accelerated to excellence beyond imagination Amen 🙏

“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:6-7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you.” I Peter‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The verse above infers that there is no reason why you should be anxious or worried since God is in absolute control and He cares for you and loves you the way you are.
He is so mindful of you that not a moment passes by that He doesn’t think of you.

God never designed you to be anxious. He fashioned you to be joyful moment by moment. The apostle Paul teaches us how not to worry – speak to God in prayer, submit your requests and supplications to Him with thanksgiving and then the first thing you will experience is His unfathomable peace that works like a shield all around you.

This is possible when you know what is your true identity – “You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus”. When you pray to God to deal with your anxiety , Christ is you manifests as peace surpassing all understanding.

Christ in you takes you from the position of
“a matter of concern in the present situation , with the given facts (what you see)” to a position of “realising the truth ( God is already in control and has already addressed the issue)”. Its a matter of trust and rest though you don’t see! Amen 🙏

God doesn’t want you to be stressed and worried. He has a solution to every problem you go through & He wants you to release those concerns of your life to Him because He cares for you.

Bottling up your cares and worries is not the way out. Expressing them to God in prayer and thanking Him causes His peace to reign in your life . Exchange your negativity with His peace! Negativities like worry & fear occupy space in your life that deprives you from reaching your full God given potential.

My beloved , this day God is filling you with good things, restoring your days back to youthful days ( Psalm 103:5). You are going to be more productive than you have ever imagined. Just allow Him to usher in His peace that surpasses all understanding by letting go of all your concerns about your future, job, child’s education,finances, health, family etc. Jesus is your Righteousness who makes all your wrongs right, because He has plans to prosper you, not to harm you & to give you a future & an expected end ! Hallelujah !!Amen 🙏

“Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;”
‭‭I Peter‬ ‭1:13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

When you pray to God , any of the four mentioned below could be the answer :
1. Yes
2. No
3. Wait , it is not the right time yet
4. Yes, but not the way you think

My beloved, disappointments and hurts can arise when we aren’t willing to accept 2/3/4 of the above as the answer.
We aren’t willing to accept “No” for an answer, not realising that God has something far better than what we desire or deserve.
Bitterness can spring up when someone is preferred before me, when God is actually working something more wonderful for me in the background and we aren’t willing to wait.
The fourth one is still more complex. God says yes but not the way we think! This could be mind blowing & it calls for a mind renewal and transformation.
When Moses was 40, it came to his heart to visit his brethren, the children of Israel to deliver them from their slavery and usher them to their God given destiny. He killed an Egyptian to deliver an Israelite. “For he supposed that his brethren would have understood that God would deliver them by his hand, but they did not understand.”‭‭Acts‬ ‭7:25‬ ‭.
The issue was that he did not understand the way God would use him to deliver. It took another 40 years to unwind his mind and allow God to reprogram his mind for the great task.

Yes my beloved, no one can steal the blessing on which your name is written by God Himself . Learn to let go and release your past and receive fresh grace for today. Be mentally geared up to receive what He has for you this day. His choice is the best & We can never ever better His best! Amen 🙏

“Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If that is the case, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us from your hand, O king. But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we do not serve your gods, nor will we worship the gold image which you have set up.””
‭‭Daniel‬ ‭3:16-18‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Fiery trials, tests & persecutions are the means for us to prove to the world who our God is! Many a times, we wish and expect God to prove who He is especially to those who trouble us. In our frustration, we speak words which are unparliamentary or may even curse saying, “God will punish you or God will not spare you or God will deal with you”.
But when our faith is tested, the onus lies on us to prove who our God is. This is what Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-Nego did. They made two very powerful statements before their ruthless king.
1. “Our God whom we serve is well able to save us from this burning fiery furnace.
2. Even if He doesn’t save us, still He is our God and we will not serve any other God.”
It’s absolutely awesome!!

My beloved , we all wish that our God should show up and prove Himself during our trying times. However, are we willing to let go our expectation and still hold on to our integrity?
Can I accept when others are preferred before me even though I am next in seniority and rest my case with God who judges righteously ?
“Whether promotion or no promotion, I will continue to serve Him and be faithful in the place of work for He is my shield and my exceeding great reward.” – Is this my strong conviction, steadfast resolution & immovable stance during trials?

I’m the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus is confessed not only when we want to experience instant relief or blessing but also when the tides are against & provocation is at its peak & I desperately expect God to help me to hold my tongue allowing Him to work so that the latter glory will be greater than the former in Jesus name . Amen 🙏

“One thing I have desired of the Lord, That will I seek: That I may dwell in the house of the Lord All the days of my life, To behold the beauty of the Lord, And to inquire in His temple. For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27:4-5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

It’s easy to dwell with God but we allow the fears to swell in us that distances us from the love of God. Its easy to rest our case with God but we allow our minds to be stressed on various issues.

God always shows us the easier path in life, yet we allow worries ,fears, hurts & disappointments to clutter our minds that deprives us of peace & hinders our progress in life.
The Psalmist had a clear roadmap for his life. He just had one focus in life which was to spend time with God, to be with Him all alone as the top most priority when he started each day. This focus was to behold the beauty of Jesus & it resulted in the swelling up his faith
and secondly, to inquire of God concerning pressing issues of his life, as a result he allowed his mind to be uncluttered and hope to rise.

My beloved , the Psalmist shares his experience of this undivided focus to spend quality time with the Holy Spirit that made God to insulate him during his times of trouble. Therefore, no shocks , no unpleasant surprises, no sudden terror could ever disturb him and the progress he made in life was evident. God set him on high! He saw health, promotion, increment , bonuses, prosperity & unparalleled blessings. Hallelujah!
Let’s follow the Psalmist in seeking this one thing in life. Amen 🙏

Christ in me – The Spirit of Glory

“The Lord is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid? Though an army may encamp against me, My heart shall not fear; Though war may rise against me, In this I will be confident.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27:1, 3‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

When Jesus is your light and your Saviour, surely you will have every reason to believe that you are always above every storm that comes your way.

It may seem that you are all alone and the rest have joined hands together like an army against you , yet the Spirit ( of Glory) will raise up a standard against them ( Isaiah 59:19).

His banner over you is His love for you . God has placed a large hoarding upon you stating your name in Capital letters followed by, “ ….MY FAVOURITE CHILD IN WHOM I AM WELL PLEASED”. Hallelujah!
This was the confidence the Psalmist had and therefore he wasn’t afraid of the enemy.

Yes my beloved, this same God who manifested in David , will likewise be in you as well . Remember, Jesus has become your righteousness!

When you know that you are tested and tried, just confess, “ JESUS MY T’SIDKENU . HE IS MY RIGHTEOUSNESS. I AM THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST”, you will experience the Saving Hands of Jesus , showing you the path of success, the righteous way because He is your light (The Light of the world). The net result is that you have emerged victorious – “Tested and proven”. Amen 🙏

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭27:1-2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

My beloved , I want to encourage you this morning saying that God Almighty is on your side always even though you are tested and tried, for these are testing times.

Don’t panic because the admission for your child hasn’t come through yet or your much awaited healing hasn’t happened so far or you are still waiting for your promotion and it seems as if nothing is happening in your favor rather things are going against you.

Weapons fashioned against you shall utterly fail because God is on your side.
Jesus has completely paid the price at the Calvary so that healing in your body, promotion in your life, financial miracle in this economic downturn becomes your portion.

Just hold on to the proclamation of your faith concerning righteousness. You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and therefore your eager expectation will surely come to pass. Just hold on!

“My God sent His angel and shut the lions’ mouths, so that they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent before Him; and also, O king, I have done no wrong before you.” Now the king was exceedingly glad for him, and commanded that they should take Daniel up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and no injury whatever was found on him, because he believed in his God.” Daniel‬ ‭6:22-23‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Daniel simply believed God! It’s so simple yet to many of us it seems so profound and hard.
It will seem difficult to trust God especially when we aren’t in continuous fellowship with Him .

Approaching Him as and when we have a need is as good as going to any ATM to withdraw cash as and when we have a need for it.
Our attitude to treat God Almighty just like any ATM or vending machine could be one of the major reasons for faltering during trying times. Seeking Him whenever we have a need or giving our time to Him whenever we have some time to spare is not the custom Daniel had.

During trying times, do we fret or fume towards people who cause the problem or fall on our knees before Him asking Him to intervene ?

Daniel said two important things that
1. he was found innocent before God and
2. he had done no wrong before his boss.

Our testimony can be like Daniel too
1. When we say that we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus , we are found innocent before God.
2. When we allow “Christ in us” to work through us, we will not only do no wrong but we also exceed the expectation of our bosses by the Spirit of Glory. Amen 🙏

“Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days.”
‭‭Daniel‬ ‭6:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

When the evil intent is devised and fashioned against you , neither fear nor seek human means of deliverance because the true deliverance comes only from the Living God .
Daniel, one of the major prophets of Israel, when he knew that his contemporaries had devised evil against him to annihilate him once and for all, sought the Living God. His custom was to pray three times a day and to give thanks & he continued seeking God according to his custom.

My beloved, if evil is designed and customised to demote or defame you, hold on to your God-given custom of professing, “ I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus”.

Seek God in prayer inviting Him into the threatening situation with thanksgiving for who He is & what He has already accomplished on the cross as the solution to the problem. Christ who dwells in you will cause His Spirit of Glory to thwart every evil fashioned against you ( Isaiah 54:17) . Amen 🙏
