Encounter Jesus The King Of Glory and Receive His Righteousness To Reign Forever!
“What shall we say then? That Gentiles, who did not pursue righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness of faith; but Israel, pursuing the law of righteousness, has not attained to the law of righteousness. Why? Because they did not seek it by faith, but as it were, by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumbling stone.”
Romans 9:30-32 NKJV
Here we have two contrasting and diagonally opposite types of righteousnesses-
1. Righteousness by believing what Christ has done for man,
2.Righteousness by human efforts( trying in vain to keep the High Standard of Holiness of God).
God’s pleading with mankind is that because of the fallen nature of man on account of Adam and Eve’s sin, man is incapable of meeting the standard of God, but the only solution is believing in Jesus’ righteousness for mankind.
He demonstrated these two contrasting kinds of righteousness throughout history starting from the first brothers – Cain and Abel; Ismael and Isaac; Esau and Jacob and so on.
During the days of our Lord Jesus on the earth, He cited a parable popularly known as the ‘Prodigal son’ where the older brother seemingly close to his father yet was so far and the younger son seemingly so far from his father on account of prodigal living , yet became so close because of his father great love that drew him closer.
This parable of the Lord Jesus was not just a story but became a prophetical voice: Israel who were so close to God became so far from Him but the rest of the world ( called as Gentiles ) who were so far away from God became so close (They are today known as believing Christians or believers, who believe in the Right Doing of Jesus for mankind ).
My beloved, the Right standing with God or Righteousness of God is never my right doing but my right believing. The Standard of God hasn’t changed. Jesus came and fulfilled the law and took away all the sins of the world. His obedience,death and resurrection gave mankind the right to stand before God and receive God’s blessings.
This is the Gift of God and is for all irrespective of caste, creed, color, culture, community, country or continent.
All you need to do is to believethat God sees you righteous in Christ all the time. Therefore, blessings unmerited will automatically come seeking you always. Amen 🙏
