Encounter Jesus The King Of Glory And May The New You Emerge With Authority To Reign!
”And He said, “Let Me go, for the day breaks.” But he said, “I will not let You go unless You bless me!” So He said to him, “What is your name?” He said, “Jacob.” And He said, “Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed.”” Genesis 32:26-28 NKJV
Jacob was afraid of two persons in his life-
1. Esau his brother and 2. Laban his father in law.
God gave him two encounters: The First one was before meeting Laban ( Genesis 28) and the Second before meeting his brother Esau (Genesis 32).
Had he taken advantage of the First encounter before meeting with Laban , he could have saved himself from all the treachery, cheating and hopelessness of the next 20 years!
However, he learnt his lesson though it took him 20 long & painful years. So, this time around, before he met Esau, the Lord granted him another encounter and now Jacob grabbed Him & cried desperately with all his heart and soul and the Lord BLESSED him. Now the day broke & there emerged a New Man! Hallelujah!!
He is no longer Jacob. He is NOW Israel ,meaning Prince with God -an overcomer, a ruler who reigns with God forever. The wicked forces could not work through Esau against Jacob any more. All the threatening darkness around him were dispelled & there was an utter end of the enemy. He is now endowed with Authority. An Encounter with the King of Glory made all the difference!
The generations after him are not called Abrahamites nor Isaacites but they are called Israelites because God’s Authority rests on this NEW name. Even to this day, the generation that has emerged called as Israel remains the Head and not the Tail in spite of all the turbulence & fire they have gone through.
My beloved , as we end this month, may this be your portion in Jesus name. May you have a genuine encounter with the King of Glory. May you take the best advantage of the encounter . May you be endowed with His Authority to reign with Him forever. May all forces of darkness bow before you. May you be the head and never the tail. Amen 🙏
