“And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!” Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son, and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.”
Galatians 4:6-7 NKJV
Amen! What a powerful reminder of our identity in Christ. In the Old Testament, when the Holy Spirit came upon men and women, He made them followers and servants of the Most High God. _However, in the New Testament, the believers who experience the Holy Spirit become the beloved children of the Heavenly Father, the Most High God. Hallelujah! _This transformative truth sets us apart, giving us the blessed privilege to approach God intimately as our “Abba, Father.”_
The Old Testament revealed God’s majesty and holiness, but in the New Testament, because of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, we see His father as our Father & understand His great love and desire for relationship with His children even though He is thrice Holy & Majesty on High.
The Spirit of His Son dwelling in us is the seal of this sonship, making us heirs to His promises and partakers of His divine nature. Hallelujah!
As we embrace this truth, let us walk confidently in the newness of life, living out our identity as sons and daughters of the King.
Truly, this is the ultimate “New You” for the New Year. Glory to God our Father! May this revelation of the Father, guide and strengthen you in every season of this year. Amen!
