Behold Jesus the Bread of Life and experience your desires fulfilled!
“Jesus answered them and said, “Most assuredly, I say to you, you seek Me, not because you saw the signs, but because you ate of the loaves and were filled. Do not labor for the food which perishes, but for the food which endures to everlasting life, which the Son of Man will give you, because God the Father has set His seal on Him.””
John 6:26-27 NKJV
What is your top priority in life? Because all your efforts in life are fully directed in the pursuit of what you think that you need to achieve here on earth.
When I completed my bachelor’s degree, my passion was to become a Chartered Accountant. I spent all my energy and time in that pursuit, which I believed will give me the most lucrative & mouth watering career. When the exams came close, I used to spend at least 12-14 hours a day in my studies. I cut down on all junk foods and also avoided a lot of choice foods so that I could be very alert to focus on my studies. My sole focus & passion was to become a successful Chartered Accountant.
Indeed I did become a CA by His grace. But the point I am driving is that though my efforts helped me to reach my goal, yet all these efforts & dedication could by no means take me to the everlasting life which is in Christ. No way!
Today the Lord Jesus is not saying that you don’t need to pursue your goals but let your top priority in life be to know Jesus who is revealed in God’s Word in the Holy Scriptures. When you seek Him, certainly life and its glory will come seeking you. Knowing Him is eternal life!
When I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior, a preacher came to the church where I was worshiping and challenged me saying, “Carry the Bible wherever you go and the Bible will carry you all round the world”._ This was a true challenge & I stand today as a witness to it. I gave myself to reading the Bible day and night and the Lord carried me to over 30 countries in a short span of time, until I said “ It’s Enough Lord”. _
My beloved , give yourself to know Jesus who is revealed in the Holy Scriptures . This is the labor that delights the Lord and truly He will fulfil all the desires of your heart. Amen 🙏
