Grace for you today !
Behold Jesus the Reigning King who makes you to reign in righteous!
“He has shown you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justly, To love mercy, And to walk humbly with your God?” Micah 6:8 NKJV
What does God expect of us? Micah the Prophet beautifully summarises and puts it forth: 1. Justice; 2. Mercy or Grace &
3. Humility.
Jesus mentioned the same in Mathew 23:23 as Justice, Mercy and faith / faithfulness.
Unless we see how God Himself shows forth these virtues, we may err in our judgement.
God administers justice & in that He will not tolerate sin in any manner. Holy God’s justice begins by punishing sin. Only then Righteousness can be established. At the same time, He is a Compassionate God, rich in mercy ( Ephesians 2:4) on every sinner.
These seemingly contradicting and conflicting nature of God was fully reconciled at the Cross. God judged the sins of the entire world on the body of Jesus & thereby forgave all sinners by His mercy and blessed them abundantly by His grace. Hallelujah!
Today, we receive this great sacrifice that demonstrated His Holiness and His Loving kindness in that all our sins were punished on the body of Jesus and at the same time we are acquitted and declared righteous forever by His loving kindness. When we embrace His love for us & respect His Holiness, we walk humbly with God.
My beloved, you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus ! God loves you the way you are !! Amen 🙏
