Grace for you today !
Beholding Jesus embraces us into the loving arms of our Abba Father!
“… one of His disciples said to Him, “Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.” So He said to them, “When you pray, say: Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.”
Luke 11:1-2 NKJV
The Lord’s pattern of prayer needs to be taught to us if we want to see the desired result for prayers in our lives.
When the Lord Jesus taught His disciples to pray, He brought in a sense of belonging and intimacy in the relationship by addressing God as “ Our Father”. God has begotten us as His own children. We are not orphans nor are we like beggars in the street. God sent His only begotten Son Jesus so that we might become His sons and daughters. We are the adopted children of God through Jesus .
Jesus brought the Heavenly Family bond into this world.
Today many suffer from identity crisis and this has done terrible damages in the lives of people. But when we understand the purpose of God Almighty in heaven who humbled Himself to accept us as His very own children, our attitude towards Him will completely change.
Dear Father, I thank you for accepting me as your own child. Even though I may be an adopted child but when I think of your sacrifice of your only begotten Son Jesus in order to make me your own, I wonder at your sacrifice and l am humbled by your love. I stand today in awe & adoration of your great sacrificial love!
