Beholding Jesus is Knowing the Father!
Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me.” John 8:42 NKJV
Sages, saints, Maharishis & all such “God-men” in the times past, had set apart their time trying to attain God and were eventually enlightened with an aspect of God. This is what is called as an encounter or an experience.
However, look at the words of Lord Jesus, “ for I proceeded forth and came from God”. This is awesome, radical and an absolute truth. He came from God. He proceeded from the Father. He didn’t attain God or reached out to God but rather He came from God. That’s a world of difference!
Recently, the Indian space agency called ISRO launched a space craft called ADITYA to study the Sun from a halo orbit around first Sun-Earth Lagrangian point (L1), which is located roughly 1.5 million km from the earth. This is the best mthey could get closer to one of God’s creations called the Sun.
Think about a person coming from the Sun or proceeding from the Sun. It’s beyond our imagination! We may argue out saying this is absurd or impossible. *But, if this was possible, then the report that this “person from the sun” concerning the Sun will be a million times more accurate than all other reports generated by space crafts trying to reach the sun to gather some information from a best possible approach.
So also, the Lord Jesus who proceeded from the Father alone truly knows God and His testimony is a million times far greater and superior and more authentic than all the experiences and encounters holy men had in the history of mankind. Because the Son proceeded from the Father & is from Him, His testimony is the Truth!
