Beholding The Lamb Unlocks God’s Riches today!
Then Elisha said, “Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord: ‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.’ ”
II Kings 7:1 NKJV
The city of Samaria during the days of the kings in the 9th century BC, was experiencing an extreme famine & food scarcity. In fact they were living a life where it didn’t really matter what they ate, as long as they ate something to quench their hunger and to really describe what they ate may be very disgusting. It was a pathetic scenario.
If I take today’s price index in Nigeria for instance- a bag of fine flour of wheat of 5 kgs (which is equal to a seah of fine flour in the scripture portion of today ) costs Naira 12,000 ( best quality). And if I take Prophet Elisha’s prophetic word in Nigeria’s present economy, one Shekel is around Naira 290 or say 300. ( 1 shekel=N 300/- )
Can you imagine the impact of God’s extravagant love on His people during those days?
In the above example, there is slashing down of cost by 40 times ( not 40%). From Naira 12,000 to Naira 300. Amazing!
Yes my beloved, God can bless us in similar fashion and even much more seeing that we are under the dispensation of grace!
All it takes from us is our BELIEF! Believe that the Lamb of God paid the price which is His own blood. He qualified us “Righteous forever”. This means that I am qualified to “God’s Riches At Christ’s Expense” (GRACE), all the days of my life on earth.
My beloved, let’s seek His Grace fervently that every cell in us will spontaneously speak “ I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus”.
The Righteousness of the Lamb slain unlocks God’s Riches today!! Amen 🙏
