The Father of Glory gives us the perfect gift of His Friendship.

Beloved of the Father and of Christ!

This week we discovered the depth of God’s heart: He calls us friends, drawing us into intimacy where His Spirit reveals the Father’s will. This friendship becomes real as we receive the abundance of His grace and the gift of righteousness.

Righteousness is not an abstract idea—it is the very life of Jesus imparted into us. The Greek word Dorea shows us that this gift is a Person—the Holy Spirit of Righteousness—who actively transforms us into the likeness of Christ.

Therefore, when we boldly confess, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus,” our identity is secured, and we step confidently into God’s destiny for us.

✨ Five-Day Journey Recap
1. Day 1: God invites us into deep, intimate friendship.
2. Day 2: The only entrance into this friendship is through His gift (dorea) of righteousness.
3. Day 3: The gift (dorea) of righteousness activates grace to transform our mindset.
4. Day 4: Dorea (the gift) changes who we are; Charisma (grace) reveals what God can do through us and both flow when we daily receive His righteousness.
5. Day 5: The Gift (dorea) of Righteousness is the Holy Spirit Himself—transforming us to live as Jesus in this world.

My Confession of Faith
I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!
Christ in me is the Dorea of God and His Righteousness—replicating Himself in me and making me a fountain-head of blessing!
I am the friend of God!

The Father of Glory gives us the perfect gift of His Friendship.

“For if by the offence of the one the death did reign through the one, much more those, who the abundance of the grace and of the free gift (Dorea) of the righteousness are receiving, in life shall reign through the one — Jesus Christ.”
(Romans 5:17 YLT98)

Beloved!
When we hear the word “gift,” we often think of a thing.
But the Greek word “Dorea” speaks of a Person.

We see this clearly when we trace its usage through the New Testament:
•   John 4:10 – Jesus offers the Samaritan woman “the gift of God.”
•   Acts 2:38; 8:20; 10:45; 11:17 – The gift is revealed as the Holy Spirit.

The Apostle Paul gives another insight:
•   Romans 5:15 & 5:17– Here, the gift (Dorea) is called Righteousness.

What does this mean for us?
The Gift of Righteousness is the Person of the Holy Spirit of Righteousness.
Through Him, our spirits continually receive and walk in Righteousness, transforming us into the very personality of Jesus Christ.

This makes the promise a reality:

“As He is, so are we in this world.” (1 John 4:17)

Therefore…
When we boldly confess, “I am the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus”,
•   We silence every identity crisis.
•   We align ourselves with God’s destiny for our lives.

The Father of Glory gives us the perfect gift of His Friendship.

1. Understanding the Two Gifts

In the New Testament Greek, both dorea and charisma refer to gifts from God — but each carries a distinct emphasis:
•   Dorea – The free, unearned nature of the gift, revealing God’s generosity, grace, and character.
•   Charisma – The gift as an expression of divine grace, often seen in spiritual abilities such as healing, miracles, and speaking in tongues.

2. How the Gifts Work
•   The Gift (dorea) of Righteousness works within the believer, shaping nature and character through the abundance of grace.
•   The Gift (charisma) of power works through the believer, demonstrating God’s power to others.

Key Insight: The power of charisma often flows most effectively when the believer first walks in the reality of the dorea of Righteousness.

3. Receiving — Not Achieving

The gift of righteousness is received, never earned.
• The verb “receive” in Romans 5:17 is active present participle — meaning it’s a continuous, intentional action.
• We are called to actively receive this gift every day, not passively accept once or occasionally .
• Continuous receiving allows the gift to impact all areas of life.

4. The Personal Declaration

When I say:

“I am the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus,”
I am declaring that I am an active recipient of God’s gift of righteousness — a gift that makes me the Friend of God.

“I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything I learned from my Father I have made known to you.” – John 15:15 NIV

Revelation Through Friendship

What Jesus learned from His Father, He teaches us through the Holy Spirit.
Is this not awesome? Indeed it is!

God’s invitation to you is this:
Be His Friend. What a great privilege!

The Divine Exchange

True friendship with God involves exchange:
• Your thoughts with His thoughts
• Your feelings with His feelings
• Your strength with His strength

This exchange is called the Righteousness of God: receiving what Christ has done for you in place of what you have for yourself.

What Changes in You

When this exchange happens:
• Your fears, anxieties, and limitations give way to His faith, confidence, and peace: peace that surpasses all understanding.
• You shift from sin-consciousness or self-consciousness to Son-consciousness.
• This God-awareness produces true godliness — not by striving, but by surrendering to the Holy Spirit.
• His grace begins to reign through His righteousness, transforming your mindset into Christ-consciousness – the zoe (God-kind) life. (Romans 5:21)

Three-Day Progression Summary
• Day 1: God is inviting you into deep, intimate friendship.
• Day 2: The only way into that friendship is through His gift of righteousness.
• Day 3: The gift of righteousness actively engages His grace to transform your mindset.

Confession:

The Father of Glory Gives Us the Perfect Gift of His Friendship

And the Scripture was fulfilled that says, ‘Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,’ and he was called God’s friend.’
James 2:23 NIV

Friendship Was God’s Original Intention

God’s greatest creation is man, uniquely made in His image and likeness.
Why?
Because when God created man, His desire was friendship with man.

What Went Wrong?

Man chose to sin and he lost:
• The intimacy with God.
• The ability to walk with Him as a friend.
• The power to restore himself.

Jesus – The Restorer of Friendship

The only antidote to sin is Righteousness.
• Jesus became sin with our sinfulness so that we might become the Righteousness of God in Christ.
• He bore our punishment, died our death, and satisfied the full demand of God’s justice.
• God raised Him from the dead, declaring that the price was paid in full.

The Gift That Removes Condemnation

Today, God declares us righteous because of Jesus’ blood.
But unless we receive this free gift of righteousness, we will:
• Struggle inwardly.
• Live under condemnation.
• Miss the joy of walking with God as a friend.

Abraham – our fountain Head
• Abraham believed God.
• It was credited to him as righteousness.
• He became the fountain-head of those who experience God’s kind of righteousness.
• Through that righteousness, he was called the Friend of God.

Our Shared Blessing

Beloved, we are the children of Abraham.
• His covenant blessings are ours.
• As Abraham was righteous in God’s sight, so are we through Christ
• As Abraham was God’s friend, so are we.

Confession:
“I am the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, therefore I am the Friend of God”

The Father of Glory Gives Us the Perfect Gift of His Friendship

“And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, ‘Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.’ And he was called the friend of God.’”
James 2:23 NKJV

Abraham was called the friend of God and this was not hearsay. God Himself testified to it:

“But you, Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend.” Isaiah 41:8 NIV

God is not only our Father — He is also our Friend.
Jesus confirmed this in John 15:15:

“I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything I learned from my Father I have made known to you.”

The Invitation to Friendship

This week, the Holy Spirit invites you into deep friendship with God.
• A servant doesn’t know his master’s business.
• A friend is entrusted with secrets, mysteries, and divine purposes hidden from the foundation of the world.

What True Friendship Looks Like

A friend loves at all times (Proverbs 17:17):
• In good days and bad.
• Accepting you exactly as you are.
• Keeping your confidentiality and guarding your interest.

The Limitation of Human Friendship

Even the closest human friend won’t know everything in your heart.
Why?
• Fear of being misunderstood and rejection.
• Fear of exposure and shame.
These fears can lead to identity struggles, emotional pain, even health issues and in some cases, premature death.

The Freedom of Friendship with God

With God, there is no fear of betrayal.
You can trust Him with:
• Your cares.
• Your disappointments and failures.
• Your most intimate struggles.

The Holy Spirit will take these burdens, ignite His holy fire in you, and set you ablaze for His glory.

Beloved! God is your Friend –the Friend who loves you at all times, without condition.

Receive Him as your dearest friend! Amen. 🙏

The Father of Glory Gives Us the Perfect Gift of Righteousness, making our hearts steadfast

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”
James 1:17 NKJV

Just as the earth revolves around the sun, so also man’s heart revolves around God.
Just as day and night are determined by the position of the earth, in the same way, a man’s days, good or bad are determined by the position (condition) of his heart.
• Mood swings are reflections of the inner state of the heart.
• But a steadfast heart, anchored in the steadfast love of the Father of lights, will enjoy success upon success.

📖 A Life Like Isaac’s

“Isaac planted crops in that land and the same year reaped a hundredfold, because the Lord blessed him. The man became rich, and his wealth continued to grow until he became very wealthy.”
Genesis 26:12-13 NIV

The righteous who clings to God’s righteousness as his only source of blessing will find success at all times.

“The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day.”
Proverbs 4:18 NIV

The Father of Glory Gives Us the Perfect Gift of His Awareness

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”
James 1:17 NKJV

✨ Knowing the Father of Lights

To know the Father of lights is to walk in intimacy with His Presence, where you begin to truly understand His unchanging nature.

Just as the sun remains constant, never rising or setting of its own, so is the Father unchanging. It is the earth that revolves around the sun, determining day and night. In the same way, your closeness to God depends on the position of your heart, not on any change in Him.

💓 The Condition of Your Heart

When your heart is not yielded to God, it gets overwhelmed with distractions, cares, and worries.

Your heart is the core of your personality: the seat of your emotions, thoughts, and imaginations.
But when you yield your heart to the Holy Spirit:
• You align with His divine purpose for your life
• Fear and anxiety lose their grip
• You become aware of His indwelling Presence

This awareness of God is not something you earn or achieve. It’s a gift. You don’t strive for it; you simply surrender.

🔥 A Life Saturated in His Presence

Surrendering your heart leads to deep union with the Father of lights. You no longer just experience Him occasionally but you abide in Him continually.

Hallelujah! His glory saturates your entire day!
You walk free of fear, anxiety, and every care.
You live victoriously above temptation

You now celebrate the Father of lights– not just the festival of lights!

The Father of Glory Gives Us the Perfect Gift making us righteousness personified

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”
James 1:17 NKJV

The first thing we encounter in God’s creation is light.
He said, “Let there be light” and light came forth.

The earth was:
• Without form
• Empty
• Covered in deep darkness

If darkness was on the surface, imagine how deep it was beneath!
Yet, light broke through, and the earth began to be restored to God’s original intent.

If God could restore the formless earth through His light,
how much more can the Father of lights restore you
through His perfect gift Jesus Christ,
the Light of the world!

“He is the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:5

“He is the true light that gives light to everyone was coming into the world.” John 1:9

This Light now works through the Holy Spirit.

My beloved, no matter how deep the darkness may be within,
the Holy Spirit, who once hovered over the chaotic earth,
now hovers over your life —
birthing Christ in you and dwelling within you.

He is:
• The Father’s glory in us (Christ in us)
• The Spirit of wisdom and revelation
• The One who enlightens us to know the Father of lights
• Our ever-present help
• The faithful, unchanging, unshakeable, and unstoppable God

Where there was:
• Formlessness — now comes divine structure
• Emptiness — now comes abundance
• Darkness — now comes the fullness of glory

The Father of lights restores you to His original intent that you may become righteousness personified through Christ Jesus.

I am the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!

The Father of Glory Gives Us the Perfect Gift

“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”
James 1:17 (NKJV)

Beloved,
God is the Source of every blessing. Every good and perfect gift comes down from above, from the Father of lights, the One who is unchanging and unwavering in His goodness.

The greatest gift ever given to mankind is Jesus Christ

“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son…” (John 3:16)
He is indeed the indescribable gift (2 Corinthians 9:15).

And here’s the true theology that defies all religious beliefs and world’s logic:
We did nothing to earn it.
We didn’t seek Him.
In fact, at our lowest, when we were at our worst,
God responded not with wrath but with love.

“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8 NIV)

Which God forgives the most atrocious acts of men?
Its ONLY The Father of lights, who never changes , nor there is any variation or shadow of turning.

And He is the same today!

Not only did He show His love at the Cross,
He continues to demonstrate it by the Holy Spirit,
bringing alive in us what Jesus accomplished for all.

This is the Righteousness of God in Christ:

“God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians 5:21)

This is the Lord’s doing and it is marvellous in our eyes!
