“When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” Acts 2:1-4 NKJV
One of the most powerful visitations of God in the lives of mankind was the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost! An interesting thing to note here is the way they received the Holy Spirit. It was while they were sitting they received and not while standing .
It is very important to understand your posture when you receive. It’s not just the physical posture of sitting , it’s our mind set leading to spiritual up-gradation.
Sitting means to relax ….sitting means to be settled ….Sitting means, I needn’t have to work rather I am served …. it’s all from the finished work of the Lord Jesus.
Yes my beloved, the Lord Jesus righteously worked it all out on our stead , kept every commandment of God so that the blessings can upon us. He took the punishment of sin so that every failure of us no longer hinders our blessing .
Today , you are expected to receive everything by resting on the truth that it is a done deal…..fully paid for. Remember that your Lord Jesus is seated at the right hand of God the Father and therefore every blessing is yours rightfully! Amen 🙏🏽
