Knowing God As Our Father Causes Us To Experience His Love Freeing Us From All Limitations!
“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.” Romans 8:14-17 NKJV
This message powerfully captures the heart of the gospel and the transformative work of the Holy Spirit in the life of a believer. The shift from understanding God through His many names and attributes in the Old Testament to the intimate relationship of “Abba Father” in the New Testament is a profound revelation of His love.
Through Christ’s sacrifice, the “lost glory” of dominion and fellowship with God has been restored.
The Spirit of God now dwells within us, testifying to our sonship and enabling us to cry out to God as our loving Father. This is a beautiful reminder that we are no longer slaves to fear, sin, or the limitations of the fallen world. Instead, as heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, we have the authority to live in freedom, victory, and the fullness of God’s promises.
This relationship with God as “Papa” or “Daddy” underscores the tenderness and intimacy He desires with each of His children. It’s an invitation to walk in confidence, knowing that we are deeply loved, fully redeemed, and abundantly provided for.
