Grace for you today !
Jesus Your Defence and Excellence!
“that no flesh should glory in His presence.”
I Corinthians 1:29NKJV
If any human has to truly evaluate his/her worth in the sight of God, then he/she has nothing at all to boast.
Paul writes saying , “For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh) nothing good dwells; for to will is present with me, but how to perform what is good I do not find.” Romans 7:18. Again, he writes, “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. I Corinthians 15:10 .
How beautifully Paul has assessed himself! On one side he realises that nothing good dwells in him without God and on the other side, he looks at his achievements and ascribes them all completely to the grace of God. Wow!
This is the essence of the Wisdom of God. This is truly the fear of the Lord. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding;” Proverbs 3:5. – This verse also conveys the same.
Let the wise man boast in His God alone. Amen 🙏
