Grace for you today !
God Who Hastens!!
“Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead,”
Philippians 3:13 NKJV
The above verse tells us the secret of Apostle Paul’s success story .
As I was meditating this morning during my personal time with the Holy Spirit, I realised that many of us live in the past , some in the present and a few in the future – just dreaming .
In the field of technology and commerce , we have these three important words –
1. Outdated, 2. Updated and 3. Post dated .
So also is one’s life.
Living in the past is like an outdated life style . Some of us just cherish gloating in our past – good old days! But according to God everything about our past is outdated.
Living in the present is an updated life ..really up to date …well balanced.
Living in the future is like a Post dated life style . It is just day dreaming .
But focussing on the future which God has promised and pressing on towards it in the present through the application of grace is the most desired. This is God ordained perfect & practical pattern of life which is mentioned here – “forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead”.
Therefore the righteous lives in the present by forgetting the past & presses on toward the God designed future by His abundant grace!
