The Father of Glory Fulfills His Purpose in You

📖 “And He said to them, ‘Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?’ But they did not understand the statement which He spoke to them.”
Luke 2:49–50 NKJV

Beloved of Abba Father,

At just twelve years old, Jesus revealed a divine consciousness -a clear awareness of His identity and mission. He knew He was not merely the son of Joseph and Mary, but the Son of the Heavenly Father, sent with a definite purpose (to be about His Father’s business!)

Yet, the Scripture says, “they did not understand the statement which He spoke to them.”
Mary and Joseph, though godly and chosen, still viewed Jesus through the lens of natural relationship. They loved Him as their child but did not yet grasp the depth of His divine calling. Their minds were still shaped by earthly roles that of a parent and child. But Jesus was speaking from a heavenly perspective that of a Son and Father (God).

💡 What They Didn’t Understand

They didn’t understand that:
1. Jesus’ first allegiance was to His Heavenly Father, not human expectations.
2. God’s purpose supersedes natural relationships (even sacred ones like family ties.)
3. The “Father’s business” is spiritual, eternal, and redemptive and not earthly or material.

They sought Him as a missing boy; but Jesus was revealing Himself as the Son of God on divine assignment.

🙌 What We Must Understand Today

We too must understand what they missed:
1. Our true identity is in the Father, not in human definitions. We are not defined by our background, status, or achievements, but by our divine origin in Christ.
2. The Father’s business is now our business. As believers, our lives are not random — we are ambassadors of His purpose on earth.
3. Spiritual understanding comes by revelation, not reasoning. The natural mind cannot grasp divine purpose; only the Spirit reveals it.

When the Holy Spirit of grace opens our eyes, we stop “searching” for Jesus in the wrong places – in fear, in confusion, or in religious effort rather begin to live consciously in the Father’s presence and purpose.

✨ Prayer and Confession

“Father, thank You for revealing to me that I am Your child, born for Your business._Grant unto me through your Holy Spirit a clear direction in my life touching your purpose in Jesus’ name. Amen 🙏
I live today in the consciousness of my divine purpose. Christ in me is the wisdom, power, and passion to fulfill the Father’s will on earth!”
