THE WORD BRINGS SPECIFIC LIGHT
Psalm 119:130
“The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.”
God’s Word does not merely bring general illumination. However, the Word brings specific light for specific situation.
Consider the ministry of Jesus.
Two blind men encountered Jesus, yet He did not minister to every person exactly the same way.
In Matthew 9:27–30, Jesus touched the eyes of two blind men and they received their sight.
In Mark 8:23, Jesus took a blind man by the hand, led him outside the town, spat on his eyes and laid His hands on him.
In Mark 10:46–52, Bartimaeus received his sight through the spoken word of Jesus:
“Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole.”
The problem was similar, but the instruction was different.
This is why we must learn to receive the specific Word of God ( light) for our specific situation.
You don’t need somebody else’s instruction for your assignment.
You need your Word from God.
The Word may come through Scripture, prayer, preaching, godly counsel or the inward witness of the Holy Spirit. When the Spirit gives you light, He gives you direction.
Do not merely ask, “What did God do for someone else?”
Ask:
“Lord, what are You saying to me?”
PRAYER
Holy Spirit, illuminate the Word of God to me. Give me specific revelation for every situation I am facing. Help me to recognize Your voice and obey Your direction. Let Your light give me wisdom for my family, work, finances, ministry and future , in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
PROCLAMATION
I receive specific light from God’s Word. I hear the voice of the Holy Spirit. I have divine wisdom and direction for every situation before me!
