Christ’s Glory Our Excellence!

“But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭2:9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Jesus Christ became a human being in order to redeem mankind from death.
Death is the consequence of sin ( Romans 5:12).
Death is an enemy of God and is the last enemy ( 1 Corinthians 15:26)
Jesus Christ came to abolish death and this He did by choosing to die. He tasted death for everyone so that we don’t have to die.

Since He tasted death for you and me, why should we accept death ?
We shouldn’t. Death is not our portion. The blood of Jesus has destroyed death. Therefore, death has lost its dominion over mankind.

Today let’s fervently confess to reject death and embrace Jesus. His righteousness has conquered death. He is our righteousness, therefore death has no power over us.
Amen 🙏

Christ’s Glory Our Excellence!

“For both He who sanctifies and those who are being sanctified are all of one, for which reason He is not ashamed to call them brethren, saying: “I will declare Your name to My brethren; In the midst of the assembly I will sing praise to You.””
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭2:11-12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

We find three awesome liberating truth in the above verses :
1. Jesus is not ashamed to call us His brother / sister. Those who are lower in status will always feel delighted to associate with those who are higher is status. But the higher ones may not feel comfortable to associate with those who are lower. THIS IS NOT SO WITH JESUS ! He is not ashamed of us at all, rather He loves to identify Himself with us despite our wretchedness, frailty & repeated failures.
2. Jesus delights in revealing God the Father to us. He is the First Preacher to introduce God as our Father. He has instilled in our hearts Father’s true love.
3. He is the One who leads the worship unto the Father from the midst of the church. When the Assembly of God sings and worships, Jesus Himself leads to glorify the Father. This awareness will bring us into a dynamic & powerful worship.
The Lord Jesus has to come to this earth in the human form to accomplish the above.

Christ’s Glory Our Excellence!

The Eternal Word who is God Almighty stepped down to earth to redeem mankind from sin and death.

He not only identified Himself with us as a human but also identified Himself with us as our own brother. The Holy Scripture says, “A friend loves at all times, And a brother is born for adversity.” Proverbs‬ ‭17:17‬.
A true brother can be safely trusted for the times of adversity. Much more, Jesus our brother can be trusted during our trying times of life.

Many years back when I was a little boy, I hit on my head against something hard and was bleeding profusely. My older brother carried me in his arms & rushed me to the nearby hospital to treat me. When I think back now, I really wonder how he ever managed to carry me all by himself as he was only 5 years older than me . That’s a true brother!

My beloved, the Lord Jesus is our True Brother! How much He should have Loved us dearly to lay down even His very life for us! You can always trust Him! He is a friend in need & a brother in adversity! He is always willing to offer His shoulders for you to lean on and is ever ready to carry you through your most adverse times.

He wants to lift you up to be crowned with glory and honour. Now is the appointed time of God for your excellence! Amen 🙏

Christ’s Glory Our Excellence!

“For it was fitting for Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons to glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.” Hebrews‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The mission of Christ was not just to save us but to bring us to glory.
Glory means excellence, honor, exaltation, peace, prominence, dominance, riches, unending blessing, everlasting life..
Can you imagine this Jesus, the Lord of the whole universe, has picked you and me up from the miry clay to put us up on the most elevated & exalted life?

Yes my beloved, this Lord will surely turn around the fortunes of many this week/ month. Have you given up on yourself? Have people given up on you? The Lord Jesus will turn around things in your favor and lift you up to the highest level. Amen 🙏

You may think, “Do I deserve this elevation or excellence?” Your thought is right. You don’t deserve anything at all. But it’s all on account of His goodness & sacrifice! That’s grace ! And He deserves all our praises because it cost Him His very life to bring you & me to Glory.

Christ’s Glory Our Excellence!

“looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

God has called you to excellence! Excellence in every aspect of your life! It takes Christ’s glory that causes excellence.
He is the author and the finisher of our faith. We need to just focus on Him. Looking unto Jesus simply means focusing on Him continuously & steadfastly.

What exactly are we to focus on?
Christ was glorified when He sat at the right hand of the throne of God. For this joy that was set before Him He endured the cross & all the suffering.

What is that Joy ?
It is the joy to see us completely forgiven, forever righteous & to be raised us up to the highest level of excellence.
His joy of reaching my heart involved two major hurdles – Enduring the cross ( thereby crossed out all allegations and accusations) and despising the shame ( to give you and me name and fame).
If this has really sunk into your heart, then your heart will swell with gratitude and tearful thanks.

My beloved, your darling Jesus had done it all for you & as you in order to cause you excellence.

Christ’s Glory Our Excellence!

“You have made him a little lower than the angels; You have crowned him with glory and honor, And set him over the works of Your hands. You have put all things in subjection under his feet.” For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put under him. But now we do not yet see all things put under him.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭2:7-8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The Eternal Word, the Creator of the Universe, who created angels, became man & His name was Jesus . And He was made a little lower than the angels so that He could raise the lowliest of men to the highest level.

See the plan of God – He makes us a little lower economically, financially, physically academically ….and from there raises us to sit with Kings. The problem with us is that we don’t see the big picture of God.

Submission is one of the greatest virtues of God yet it is least understood.
Jesus led a exemplary life of submission. He was in submission to His parents, in total submission to the requirements of the law, in submission to the local government, to the Governor, to the angels and to God the Father. Therefore, God exalted Him to the highest level & has given him a name above every name so that every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is LORD.

My beloved, do not despise small beginnings (Zechariah 4:10). Just learn to submit to your parents, teachers, your boss at place of work, to your spouse at home and let the Lord set you over all things. This is Christ’s glory that leads you to excellence. Amen 🙏

“But one testified in a certain place, saying: “What is man that You are mindful of him, Or the son of man that You take care of him? You have made him a little lower than the angels; You have crowned him with glory and honor, And set him over the works of Your hands.” Hebrews‬ ‭2:6-7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

My beloved, as we begin this new month of September, let me remind you that Christ’s Glory will be your excellence.

He became a man to give man the highest exaltation that God originally intended man to have.

Christ was glorified when God raised Him from the dead and made Him to be seated in the heavenly places. He was crowned with glory and honor. His glorification has resulted excellence in us!

The revelation of the Exalted Christ ushers in the glory, the honor and the excellence in our lives. Amen 🙏

You are fashioned with Excellence!

“When Jesus had raised Himself up and saw no one but the woman, He said to her, “Woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said to her, “Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” ‭‭John‬ ‭8:10-11‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This is one of my most favourite portions of the Scriptures. Every time I read it intently, tears would run down my cheeks.
Because the whole world is writhing in pain due to condemnation.

Many sink into depression because of condemnation. Yes, condemnation kills. Millions suffer ailments either in their bodies or in their minds because of condemnation.

Every time I pray for the sick and if the healing doesn’t happen instantly, I know that they suffer from deep rooted condemnation, which the Lord begins to deal with first of all. Sooner or later they find healing in their bodies too.

“Neither do I condemn you “ were the most gracious words of our Lord Jesus that not only released the woman from all physical and mental obsessions but also portrayed the accusers as good people because the Lord identified Himself with them. He is truly amazing! His great love for us has fashioned us all with excellence! Amen 🙏

You are fashioned with Excellence!

“So when they continued asking Him, He raised Himself up and said to them, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.””
‭‭John‬ ‭8:7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

On one side stands the woman caught in the very act of adultery, condemned by the crowd to be stoned to death.
On the other hand stood the whole world, condemning the act, screaming & demanding the death sentence to be executed as a punishment.
In between the two, stands One who is taller and incomparable, who is not just a preacher of Grace but Grace personified. The accusers thought that they have cornered Him enough so that His “Hyper Grace” preaching comes to an end or He will be accused for breaking the law of Moses.
But to their surprise neither this nor that could happen. The final outcome is a new law – “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.” It not only silenced all the accusers but also set free the victim from condemnation and gave her the power not to sin. Hallelujah!
Yes my beloved, Grace is not the license to sin, rather grace forgives you completely and gives you
the ability not to sin.

When you embrace Jesus, you are embracing freedom from condemnation which empowers you to live far above sin. Amen 🙏

You are fashioned with Excellence!

“For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory.”
‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭3:9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Yet another comparison between the two covenants. Ministry of condemnation (written and engraved on stone which is ministry of death) vs Ministry of Righteousness (written and engraved on hearts which transforms lives, also called as the Ministry of the Spirit).

What comparison can you draw between a 1000 watts bulb and the Sun ? Sun remains supreme at all times & beyond comparison, so also the Ministry of Righteousness.

Ministry of Righteousness focuses on the righteous acts of Jesus – His perfect obedience to God to make every man righteous
Ministry of Righteousness ministers everlasting righteousness (forever made righteous) to every man by the blood of Jesus.
Ministry of Righteousness talks about no condemnation & forever blessed. And the revelation goes on and on , from glory to glory, transforming us into the image of Christ. Amen 🙏
