Behold Jesus the Faithful King and experience the way of escape !
“No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.”
I Corinthians 10:13 NKJV
We know from Hebrews 6:12 that we inherit the promises of God by faith and patience. Often times, either we struggle with faith or with patience.
Faith has to do with the present & patience has to do with the future.
We have been discussing on the topic of faith for the last three days & today’s meditational verse is dealing with patience.
When our hope ( patience) is deferred , the heart is sick ( Proverbs 13:12) . Trials and testing of our patience often wearies us and we think that we are the only beings on earth suffering such hardships and also think that our suffering is very unique . This is absolutely untrue!
What we are going through is common to all men and nothing is unique. There are many others in the faith, who are also going through the same trials and tests.
The only antedote to this problem is to see Jesus the faithful One! His faithfulness will not allow you to be tempted beyond your ability and He will also surely direct you in the way of escape in Jesus name !
You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus . Amen 🙏
