Experience The Father’s Glory By Experiencing God’s Second Touch In Your Life!
“And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless. But they had no child, because Elizabeth was barren, and they were both well advanced in years.”
— Luke 1:6–7 NKJV
Zechariah and Elizabeth came from a priestly lineage and lived blamelessly before the Lord, fully devoted to His service. They faithfully obeyed all His commandments and ordinances, yet Elizabeth remained barren for many years.
There seemed to be no human reason why such a faithful and godly couple had not received the blessing of a child. But, beloved, there are times in life when situations appear inexplicable and irrational, until we view them through the lens of God’s eternal purpose. He works all things according to the counsel of His will and for the good pleasure of His divine purpose (Ephesians 1:5).
It doesn’t take God any time to bless a man, especially one who is faithful and obedient. Yet those whom He has chosen to fulfill a specific purpose are often required to wait—not because of failure or fault, but because of divine timing.
In the case of Zechariah and Elizabeth, their long wait was part of God’s greater plan. It was predestined that their son, John, would be the forerunner of the Messiah. Therefore, Elizabeth—though aged—had to wait to conceive until the appointed time, aligning perfectly with the appearance of the Son of God. Even her relationship to Mary, the mother of Jesus, was divinely orchestrated.
Beloved, perhaps you too have been waiting for your miracle—seemingly endlessly—and during this difficult season, the God of all comfort has sustained you with His promises.
Be of good cheer! Your kairos moment has come! The same God who comforted you in the waiting is now ready to demonstrate His all-powerful, resurrection glory in your life—today!
