Christ My Reviving Glory!
“And being in agony, He prayed more earnestly. Then His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.”
Luke 22:44 NKJV
This is reported by Luke who was a medical doctor, who gave his description of Jesus’ Passion.
This medical condition of Jesus is called as Hematidrosis or Hematohidrosis – occurs typically when someone is under extreme stress. The capillaries that go to the sweat glands can rupture causing the blood from the capillaries to pour into the sweat glands. When the person starts to sweat, the blood comes out through the sweat glands.
Jesus, being the Son of God, knew in detail everything that was about to happen to Him. He knew that He was physically facing the most horrible forms of capital punishment ever in the history. The extreme level of stress that was caused could be because He knew that He would “become sin” and that He would experience ‘separation from the Father’ in order to redeem mankind* from sin and death to make them righteous forever.
The cost was too heavy and the burden of sin was unbearable, that His soul was in deep anguish yet Jesus prayed more earnestly to ensure that you & I are redeemed forever . His Passion to save us prevailed in the garden of Gethsemane even as the blood started to ooze out as sweat . The battle was won there, though it culminated at the Cross.
My beloved, is this not sufficient enough to be convinced that all our sins are completely forgiven and we are truly righteous forever ?!
You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus FOREVER! Amen 🙏
