Christ in me – the Fulness of God !
“The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!”
John 1:29 NKJV
“The next day“ is an important phrase in the above verse. Until ‘the next day’ came, John was involved in preparing the people to meet the Messiah, the Christ. He was preaching what they should do and what they shouldn’t. He was warning the people of the coming judgement and that they should repent from their sins and set things right with God. He also insisted that people should be baptised to see God’s favour and blessings on them.
However, when “the next day” came, the whole focus changed completely. His assignment took a complete new turn. He looked in awe and wonder, as new zeal sprung up from within him, seeing Jesus . He saw the greatest personality in the whole universe coming towards him. He kept gazing at Him, the One, whose very looks started transforming John 360degrees. In that abundance of awesomeness & unspeakable glory, by steadfastly fixing his eyes on the unmatched, unparalleled & greatest personality ever, John exclaimed, “ Behold ! The Lamb of God !!
Yes, my beloved, your “next day” experience is coming, where you will experience a complete turn around in your career. Your monotonous, mundane life will be now overshadowed by a new responsibility with new vigour and zeal to press on to a new level of greatness because you are about to encounter the Greatest Personality “Jesus” face to face. As you encounter Him, favor comes seeking you and God’s righteousness is adorning you as a robe, even crowning you and exalting you as king in Jesus name. Amen 🙏
