“and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power”
Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭19‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Apostle Paul did not pray that power should be given to believers, but rather they should recognize the power of God in them.  Yes, we already have the great power of God resident in us to function as Champion Believers .  Hallelujah!

We should never underestimate God’s power in our lives. We have it in our trials & temptations for a testimony to His glory! It is a power that God exercises in & through our lives. This is a delegated power from God out of His unadulterated grace. It is important for believers to operate within the sphere of this great power of God graciously bestowed on our lives.

We cannot function in that POWER without a comprehensive understanding of the principles of the Scripture and applying them to experience it.
Let’s understand what Apostle Paul saying :
There are 4 different greek words used for power in this one verse (v 19):
1. Exceeding greatness of His POWER ( Greek :Dunamis) Dunamis, which is not explosive power like dynamite but resident power like a dynamo with inherent ability.
2. According to the WORKING (Greek: Energeia) means energising power.
3. Of His MIGHTY ( Greek: Kratos) means dominion power/authoritative power.
4. POWER ( Greek: Ischus) means endowed power or divine ability.

Now the application of the above 4 “Powers” in verse 19 is as follows :

God’s omnipotent power (dunamis) supplying grace to believers and His operational power (energeo) in us are provided by His ruling power (kratos) as understood from the Holy Scriptures. Once we begin to comprehend this, God releases from within us the inner power (ischus) to produce the momentum to replicate Christ in us. Hallelujah!

Possessing this kind of power should deliver us from being immobilized by all kinds of fears. This Power from God emboldens us to confront fear on its face and forge ahead with confidence. No matter what situation or pressures may threaten us, we have this power of God IN US to overcome every one of them victoriously .

Our prayer should be as follows :
“Holy Father , grant unto me the spirit of wisdom and revelation of Jesus Christ in me , that the eyes of my understanding be floodlighted to comprehend Your awesome , immeasurable, unlimited, Omnipotent dynamo power resident in me which is energised or made operational through the understanding of Your unmatched and unparalleled universal domination that is resident in me as an inner, inherent ability which is Christ in me”. Amen 🙏

“And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe , as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength,”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭19‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

Today, the need of the hour is to have a fresh insight into what we already have. The fallacy among those who profess Christianity is wanting to have what is seemingly lacking .
We seek for that which we think is not present with us / in us. We seek for some new power when we already have something in us which is immeasurable and unlimited.
But, what we need is a new/ fresh insight of what God has already invested IN us and not new power.

Knowing this possible fallacy or wrong belief , the Apostle Paul prays that the Holy Spirit would enlighten our eyes to the inherent Power in us which has the following features :
1. Immeasurable
2. Unlimited
3. Surpassing
4. Unfathomably great

My beloved, this inherent Power with the above features is already IN you if you have received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour. Yet the manifestation of this Glorious & surpassing ( overthrowing) Power depends on our understanding which is divinely imparted by the Holy Spirit through prayer and incessant confession that Christ in you is the manifestation of this Power that is immeasurable, unlimited, surpassing (beyond all excellence ) and exceedingly great! Hallelujah!!

Remember to only believe and confess !

“and what is the exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe, according to the working of His mighty power which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,”
‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1‬:‭19‬-‭20‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The Ephesians prayer of enlightenment brings us to the understanding of the working of His awesome power in us.

When we believe that Jesus is the Son of God, the Lamb of God who took away the sin of world, Machiach ( Christ) comes to dwell in us.

The Holy Spirit will then enlighten us of this Awesome & Powerful Person resident in us and the working of His Power thereof with the same intensity and degree as He worked in Jesus when He was raised from the dead ( the lowest pit) and was placed in the Highest heavens to reign forever.

This is awesome my beloved!  No matter what the condition ( physical or otherwise) you are presently in , no matter the discomfort that you are facing in the place of work, Christ in you is the Working of His Mighty Power who will raise you and place you far above all forces of darkness to reign in this life forever in Jesus name. Amen 🙏

“For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.)”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭17‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Through Adam, death reigned over the whole human race. There is no one who can escape death. But, God never intended that man should die. He created man and woman to live with Him forever. Alas! One offence spoilt the whole intent of God. However, God had the last laugh. He sent His Son to annul and abolish death once and for all ( 2 Timothy 1:10).  Hallelujah!

Therefore, through Jesus Christ ( Mashiach) came life forever more! His death on the Cross abolished sin and death forever. 
Now it is up to us whether we wish to continue in what Adam began or we wish to continue in what Jesus began?
If we wish to continue in what Jesus began then (1) we keep receiving daily the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness and (2) keep speaking daily, “ I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus “.
This is the sure way to REIGN IN LIFE through JESUS CHRIST.

Death could not hold Him and He rose from the dead. So also we who continue in Him, death cannot reign over us but we will reign by confessing, “ I shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord”.

My beloved, you are destined to reign !

“Then God blessed them ( Adam and Eve), and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it; have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.””
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭1‬:‭28‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Every time God blesses anything or anyone, three things invariably happen :
1. Fruitfulness
2. Multiplication &
3. Satisfaction
Yet, there is another facet to blessing which is the fourth one that must happen as well to a man when God blesses him :
4. Dominion ( power to subdue)

You will find these four results of God’s blessing throughout the Bible.

However, because of sin man lost the fourth dimension of blessing which is dominion. The devil stole this most important & crucial dimension of blessing . Ever since he craftily reigned over the fallen mankind until Jesus came to redeem them from sin and death and also to restore the power of dominion ( the power to subdue the enemy ) .

God has sent His Son Jesus to bless us by raising Him from the dead ( Acts 3:26). When we receive Jesus in our lives, all these negative forces and vibes lose their grip on us completely.

My beloved, this week you will experience His resurrection power that will subdue every contrary force that tries to intimidate you in Jesus name ! You are destined to reign!!

“But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭NIV‬‬

3. Deliverance from the presence of sin:

Jesus Christ came the first time into this world to deliver us from the penalty of sin . He is the Lamb of God who took away the sin of the world. He is the sacrificial Lamb who was slain on account of the sins of the whole world that includes you and me. God punished sin on the body of Jesus so that we are delivered from the penalty of sin if we believe and receive God’s Gift of eternal life – Jesus Christ.

He lives in us who believe in Him and thereby we experience deliverance from the power of sin.

He will appear again, the second time to transform our present body (which is subject to temptation of sin, sickness and death because of the presence of sin in this world ) into His glorious body that will never be subject to sin, sickness and death.  His second appearance through His power subdues all things including the presence of sin. Hallelujah! What a glorious & forever experience that will be ! *He will wipe away all our tears & everlasting joy will be our portion !

My beloved, let’s look forward eagerly to receiving Him who will appear again very soon . This hope of earnest, positive expectation keeps us pure daily ( 1 John 3:3) & also to live a lifestyle far above mediocrity ( Philippians 4:13).  Amen 🙏

“We know that our old (unrenewed) self was nailed to the cross with Him in order that [our] body [which is the instrument] of sin might be made ineffective and inactive for evil, that we might no longer be the slaves of sin. For when a man dies, he is freed (loosed, delivered) from [the power of] sin [among men]. Even so consider yourselves also dead to sin and your relation to it broken, but alive to God [living in unbroken fellowship with Him] in Christ Jesus.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6‬:‭6‬-‭7‬, ‭11‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

2. Deliverance from the power of sin:

For every fruit there is a root, so also all our actions have a root cause.  Many times we focus on our actions rather than the root cause that is behind these actions. What we cannot see are the roots under the soil.

David discovered this and with tears spoke to God that he was conceived in sin in his mother’s womb ( Psalms 51:5). We are sinners not because we committed sins ( doing), we are sinners by conception ( being). Unless we deal with the root ( being) , we will continue in our doing (fruit). We not only need forgiveness of our sins ( doing ) but also deliverance from our very sinful being. This being (nature) of ours ( inherited at conception) is what the author calls as the “old man”.

My beloved, the Good news is that Jesus not only died “for our sins “( actions/ doing) but also “as us” ( our very essence / DNA). For God made Jesus who knew no sin ( in Him was no sin) to become sin in our stead so that we might become righteous with His righteousness ( righteousness in essence / being ) – 2 Corinthians 5:21. This is what the author writes as the “new creation” – 2 Corinthians 5:17.

My beloved disown your old identity by declaring that your old was crucified with Christ at the Cross and embrace your new identity. You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus is your new identity. You are a new creation, old things have passed away and all things have become new is your present stand.
This confession breaks the power of sin and you will emerge invincible through the progressive revelation of Jesus the Machiach!  Amen 🙏

“But God shows and clearly proves His [own] love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One) died for us.  Therefore, since we are now justified (acquitted, made righteous, and brought into right relationship with God) by Christ’s blood,  how much more [certain is it that] we shall be saved by Him from the indignation and wrath of God.” Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

My beloved, there are three deliverances that God offers the whole human race because of His great and unfathomable love :
1. Deliverance from the penalty of sin
2. Deliverance from the power of sin
3. Deliverance from the presence of sin.

As explained yesterday, the primary freedom that everyone needs is from sin. God sent His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die for our sin & sins on the Cross.

Christ died for us ( for our sins) and as us ( for the sin nature)!

Christ died for us to deliver us from the penalty of sin. He chose to die while we were still sinners.  _He didn’t wait for us that we would first change ourselves before He died nor did He make a conditional offer for deliverance. _ Because of His great love for us, he chose to die for us while we were still sinners .

Jesus the Mashiach became the lamb of God who took away all our sins and made us righteous forever by His own blood.
Today, the sinners aren’t in the hands of an angry God, rather the sinners are pleaded to accept the great love of a loving Father demonstrated through the sacrifice of His Son.

Dearly beloved, there is no man on earth without sin. But there is one Man the Lord Jesus Christ who was absolutely sinless & yet who paid the penalty of sin in our stead, by shedding His own blood. I join with Him to plead with you to consider and receive God’s amazing love : the forgiveness of sins and be delivered from the penalty of sin.The blood of Jesus Christ cleanses you from all sin and makes you right in the sight of God. This is the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus!

“We are sure of this because Christ was raised from the dead, and He will never die again. Death no longer has any power over him. Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭6‬:‭9‬, ‭14‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The primary and the foremost freedom that we all need is from the slavery of sin / addiction .  We lose control of our own temperament. We lose control over our sensual pleasure. We lose the control over own thoughts . Sometimes some thoughts become so compulsive that we are enslaved to these thoughts and they in turn lead to feelings resulting in actions. This is what Jesus meant when He spoke to the Jews who thought that they were slaves to no man ( John 8:32-36) .

Through Adam came the fall of the whole human race but through Jesus Christ came the deliverance from sin and dominion over sin and death.  Hallelujah!

Jesus the Christ alone can deliver us from this vicious cycle of sin and death.
This is because He became sin with our sinfulness at the Cross. He never sinned but He willingly received all our sins and put an end to sin’s dominion. 
Secondly, He made us righteous with His own untainted righteousness of God. When we accept this great gift of righteousness of God (even though we haven’t done any righteous act ) we come to realize the authority : our dominion over sin and death. 
This acceptance of Truth from our side is expressed through our confession.
So then when we confess, “ I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus” sin loses its grip and righteousness reigns through our confession .

My beloved , one time confession may not result in seeing the desired result . Sometimes it may take vehement and incessant speaking until you walk in complete liberty . Hallelujah!  Amen 🙏

“Yet you made them only a little lower than God and crowned them with glory and honor . You gave them charge of everything you made, putting all things under their authority…”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭8‬:‭5‬-‭6‬ ‭NLT‬‬

When God made the first man Adam and then Eve out of man, He made them a little lower than Himself. But they were limited by time, space and matter.
Although, they were under the law of gravity, living in a body adaptable to the conditions of this planet Earth, yet they were in constant communication with God, walking on earth as divine beings & as the crown of His creation.

When God was about to crown them with honour and glory, by giving them the fullest authority, translating from terrestrial beings to celestial beings, Alas ! They sinned and fell short of this glory and lost the dominion! Mankind is still experiencing the repercussions of Adam’s fall.

However, God who planned everything before the foundation of the world, sent His Only begotten Son Jesus to redeem mankind from this great fall and also to restore him back to the honor and glory with the fullest authority (just as the Psalmist writes). HALLELUJAH!

Today, you are redeemed by the Blood of Jesus Christ and are made righteous forever to reign !  Awesome!!
This week greets and welcomes you to have this honor, glory and authority. All things that have been intimidating you in the past ceases in its power and you reign supreme in Jesus name !  Amen 🙏
