Christ My Transforming Glory!
“And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?” But His disciples said to Him, “You see the multitude thronging You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’ ”” Mark 5:30-31 NKJV
The woman with an issue of blood was healed the very moment when she touched Jesus’ hem of the garment which is His righteousness.
Since she came from behind Him, the Lord didn’t know who touched Him in the midst of a great crowd .
What puzzled me for some years was the fact that the Lord Jesus knew that the power left Him in the midst of a thronging multitude. On one side, Jesus would have surely felt a constant push from all sides as the crowd pressed on Him and on the other hand, a gentle touch at the hem of His garment by one frail woman was felt that drew His attention ! One day while I was getting ready to preach a sermon, the Holy Spirit dawned on me afresh revealing that the multitude was pushing Him that perhaps made His walking even faster but as this was happening, the touch of a desperate, ailing woman at wit’s end pulled Him back since He felt the power leaving Him. Hallelujah!
Just imagine !
Faith pulls! Flesh pushes !!
Your longing for Jesus, longing for His visitation , desperate cries, desire to know Him more pulls Him. God wants to give more than you want to receive. Just imagine, how persistent was this woman who desperately moved toward Him from behind with a multitude trying to push her out of the way .Yes, in the midst of adverse conditions in this perverse world, your consistent and steadfast confession that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus is getting you closer to Him and draws Him nearer to you than ever before . Just don’t give up ! You are at the brink of your miracle !
