Christ your Glory !!
““The sun shall no longer be your light by day, Nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you; But the LORD will be to you an everlasting light, And your God your glory.”
Isaiah 60:19 NKJV
Our beloved Parents are God’s reflected Glory in our lives. As parents , we often fail to recognize that our children are actually God’s children and He has given them to us to be their custodians. (“Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, The fruit of the womb is a reward.” Psalms 127:3 )
We, parents take lot of stress over the education , career or the marriage of our children as if we are their creator . Our position with God needs to be like that of Hannah . After she gave birth to Samuel , she looked to Jehovah and said that Samuel is God’s gift to her and she gives the child back to Jehovah for His guidance and direction .
God is their actual and ultimate Father . This perception will completely revolutionize the concept of Parenting . The Lord Himself was very displeased with His disciples when they prevented the children from coming to Him because they are actually His children. He is still the same- loving , caring and willing to bless our children .
Incessantly call out each of your children by name saying that he/she is the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus . This may look like a mantra but will surely transform the lives of our children far beyond your expectation. Amen !
