Knowledge of Christ Our Excellence!
“But He said to them, “Why are you fearful, O you of little faith?” Then He arose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm.”
Matthew 8:26 NKJV
The Lord Jesus looked at His disciples and said, “O you of little faith?” In another instance, He said to the woman of Canaan, “Great is your faith !”. ( Mathew 15:28)
How does the Lord measure the level of our faith ?
It’s measured by the level of our understanding of God . Little understanding of God is little faith . Great understanding of God is great faith. Poor understanding of God is poor faith.
Therefore, our faith is in direct proportion to our understanding of our God.
How do we get the right understanding of the Living God ?
By praying the Ephesians prayer of enlightenment – “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him, the eyes of your understanding being enlightened; ….” Ephesians 1:17-20
