“Now on the first day of the week Mary Magdalene went to the tomb early, while it was still dark, and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb.”
John 20:1 NKJV
Just a few days back Jesus was crucified. His body was buried and was tightly secured with guards being positioned at the tomb. Mary Magdalene came to the tomb to pay homage and embalm His body. She was ever grateful to Jesus for His acts of mercy upon her life.
But she was for a crude shock to discover the tomb being empty & Jesus’ body missing.
Mary went very early to pay her last respect to Jesus. But now He is not just Jesus , He is the Lord Jesus, having conquered death and hell who lives forever.
She rose very early in the morning but Lord Jesus was still earlier to be present there in order to bless her because He is risen now from the dead.
This same Risen Jesus will bless you too this week !
