“So when they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus walking on the sea and drawing near the boat; and they were afraid.”
John 6:19 NKJV
These disciples moved with Jesus all the time. They saw Him turning water into wine, healing the man at Bethesda, multiplying 5 loaves and 2 fish to feed a multitude of more than 5000 men apart from women and children.
But now, this was a different scenario! He came walking on the sea! This baffled them and they were greatly afraid.
They had heard the great story of Moses leading the children of Israel through the Red Sea ,on a dry land. But they have never heard nor read anyone in human form, walking on the sea. But now seeing Jesus walking on the water majestically, was amazing and beyond their comprehension & recognition. No wonder they were afraid.
My beloved, in the fiercest situation , God shows up in the most glorious manner. Man’s worst time is God’s best time. He reveals His Glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of Grace and Truth ( Righteousness). As Jesus is, so are we in this world! Therefore, He expects us to walk on & over our challenges and not walk through them . Those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life through Jesus Christ. Amen 🙏
