Christ in me – Greater Glory
“And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one:” John 17:22 NKJV
Glory means great favor, splendour, honor , power and authority, having one’s good opinion, inexhaustible wealth , highly positioned and elevated.
Jesus the Christ just before His death on the Cross, makes this prayer to His Father , who is the Almighty Jehovah God that the GLORY He received from His Father, He has in turn given to us who believe in Jesus the Messiah , the Christ , the Eternal One. Hallelujah!
I can understand the Father giving His Glory to the Son of God, who was with Him & was Holy & absolutely sinless from His conception to the point of His death.
But, what is the basis for Jesus giving the same Glory to us , who are conceived in sin in our mother’s womb ( Psalm 51:5) and as a result have fallen from Glory ( Romans 3::23)??
The basis is that Jesus who gave His Glory to us also took our fallen state by becoming sin & dying our death.
What an amazing love! 🥲
He took your fallen state as He became sin so that you might take His Glory ( highly positioned) state since He made you righteous. ( 2 Corinthians 5:21)
My beloved , you are highly favored, highly placed, highly elevated & highly honored because Christ is in you . Amen 🙏
You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and Christ in you is the greater glory!
