Having much more!!
“And behold, a leper came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, if You are willing, You can make me clean.” Then Jesus put out His hand and touched him, saying, “I am willing; be cleansed.” Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.”
Matthew 8:2-3 NKJV
Many times I have read the above passage in the past . But recently, I had a new insight of Jesus’ magnanimity and His lavishing love.
Leprosy was a dreaded , contagious disease during the days of our Lord Jesus on earth . Lepers were isolated and were stoned if they touched any one . There was a real social distancing in place, much more than the current 2 meters.
This leper pleaded with Jesus to cleanse him if He was willing. The Lord Jesus could have just said that He was willing and spoken out the healing. But, what is interesting is that Jesus went on further to touch him and speak his healing. Thus signifying that He was not only willing but more than willing. Wow ! *Amazing Jesus *!!
Is not this Jesus the same yesterday, today and forever ?
Could not this Jesus stretch Himself to us today to heal and restore us even if anyone is affected with corona virus ?
My beloved , most certainly, Jesus is the same even today and is “MORE THAN WILLING “. *The more we know Jesus, the more Grace is imparted and Faith is demonstrated *.
Let’s get locked up with Jesus during this trying time!
