Walking in Glory!
“that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,” Ephesians 1:17 NKJV
My beloved, I believe that this is one of the most powerful prayers any one can offer to God. This is known as the prayer for enlightenment – “The Ephesians Prayer”
Apostle Paul is praying that God Almighty who raised Jesus from the dead may give us the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him ( Who raised Him from the dead , Who was raised by Him by His Spirit).
He is not praying that God should give what you don’t have rather God should give you the ability to see all those blessings that you already have.
Any person who has believed that Jesus died for his/her sins and that God raised Jesus from the dead is a believer and has inherited all the blessings of God ( Ephesians 1:3).
Because we live in the senses world which is governed by 5 senses – see , hear, taste, touch and smell, we tend to move in this natural realm and wish to see & feel first of all, before we believe.
Therefore, all our prayers primarily say, “Lord bless me” ( when we are already blessed according to Ephesians 1:3), “ Lord heal me” ( when we were already healed – 1 Peter 2:24) .
However, if I make the starting point clear that I am already blessed and then proceed to pray saying, “ Lord, I know that you have already blessed me because you raised Jesus from the dead, now give me the spirit of wisdom and revelation to see what I don’t see naturally (enlighten my eyes of understanding). Then I begin to walk in glory ( walking in the faith – the 4th dimension ) . This causes the desired experience ! Amen 🙏
