God’s inheritance your Glory !!
“For with stammering lips and another tongue He will speak to this people, To whom He said, “This is the rest with which You may cause the weary to rest,” And, “This is the refreshing”; Yet they would not hear.”
Isaiah 28:11-12 NKJV
The word “REST” in the above passage in Hebrew is “MENUCHAH”. It means “ Rest from enemies , comfort , resting place , permanent , settlement , peace beyond understanding , freedom from wandering , restoration….
All of us are yearning for this. Rest from toils , hard labours, drugs , addictions & torments.
The Lord Jesus promised saying , “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28 . He accomplished this Rest for us as He hung on the Cross and cried out , “ IT IS FINISHED”.
He put an end to all human agony and all human misery. Even this day we can go to Him with all our burdens and find Rest . His Rest comes to us as we speak in tongues .
My sister who is presently a Pastor in Chennai gave me an expansion of REST =
