“For he who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men but to God, for no one understands him; however, in the spirit he speaks mysteries.”
‭‭I Corinthians‬ ‭14:2‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Speaking in tongues means speaking God’s language which our minds can’t understand because it is our own spirit that prays, not the mind . Therefore, no one can understand including the one who is speaking.
You may think that its absurd. No, my friend!
A person speaking in Tongues is speaking mysteries. Recently ,the Holy Spirit said , “ I will crack puzzles as you speak in tongues”.

Accordingly, we had a great testimony in our church. A couple in our church who are holding an important portfolio in leadership shared their testimony. One of their domestic helps started to act weird and was pilfering precious items from their house. They began to seek the Lord for a solution and prayed by speaking in tongues. Suddenly the Holy Spirit gave them the direction as to how to resolve this issue. When they applied the wisdom that God gave them, the domestic help fell prostrate on the ground and accepted her fault and confessed that she was the one who stole things from the house. In mercy the couple forgave her and sent her away peacefully .

Yes my beloved, this same Holy Spirit who has made you righteous forever by the blood of Jesus, will also dwell in you forever and will crack mysterious puzzles to give you rest and will establish you in righteousness before the eyes of the world. Amen 🙏

Christ in you is the resolver of issues troubling you !

‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭28:11-12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Refreshing & causing the weary to rest is truly the Power of speaking in tongues . What an amazing blessing !

We do meditation to bring tranquility to mind , we drink energy drinks for refreshment but it’s all momentary. By speaking in tongues ,we tranquil the soul and fresh energy springs up in the body. It’s awesome, inexplicable & is the true solution!

Jesus said in Mathew 11:28 – “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest”. Yes ,He baptises you with the Holy Spirit & exchanges your heavy burden with His Holy Spirit’s gift of speaking in Tongues that causes rest. Hallelujah!

Yes my beloved, when we speak in tongues, there is a divine exchange taking place : joy in the place of sorrow , healing in the place of sickness, strength in the place of weakness, exaltation in the place of humiliation and so on.

Seek earnestly to receive the Holy Spirit and His gift of speaking in tongues & enjoy the divine order of Rest & Refreshing! Amen 🙏

Pentecost is a feast celebrated in the whole of Israel. It’s also called as the ‘Feast of the Harvest’. In Hebrew it’s known as “Shavuot” and in Greek it’s known as “Pentecost”.
In the first Shavuot, God gave Israel 10 Commandments, which is commonly known as the Law of Moses to establish His covenant with Israel .

Since man couldn’t keep the first covenant , God made a new covenant with mankind through the shedding of the precious blood of Jesus and sending His precious Holy Spirit. This happened on the day of Pentecost as recorded in Acts 2:1-4.
What man could not do by his own ability, God did by giving His Holy Spirit as a free gift to everyone who believes in Jesus as his Saviour and Lord.
In other words, Holy Spirit is given to everyone who believes that the death and resurrection of the Jesus Christ has made him the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.
This righteousness of God was not possible in the Old Testament and therefore the Holy Spirit couldn’t dwell in man making him the temple of God. It took the Blood of Jesus alone to have Him dwell in us .

My beloved , the coming of the Holy Spirit with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues, turned the grasshopper- minded -disciples into giant-slayer-believers. This is the month of Pentecost and surely the same Holy Spirit will also orchestrate your lives in a dynamic way. Begin confessing that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and receive this unique gift of speaking in tongues. Amen 🙏

God made two most important covenants with man :
1. Covenant with Israel at Mount Sinai where He gave the 10 commandments through Moses
2. Covenant with us all at Mount Zion where He gave His Holy Spirit through the Lord Jesus .

The first covenant demanded righteousness through the obedience of Israel but no one could obey all the commandments all the time.
However, the second covenant supplied righteousness to all mankind through the obedience of Jesus at the Cross and He gave His precious Holy Spirit to everyone who believes in Christ’s sacrifice – His death for our sins and His resurrection for us to walk in newness of life.
The coming of the Holy Spirit in a believer’s life resulted in never ending blessings and
everlasting zoe life in us. When you allow the Holy Spirit to function in your life, my beloved , your struggles cease and your destiny is seized.

This week is the week where you will witness the working of the Holy Spirit in every aspect of your life. You will arise and shine effortlessly, all because you are the righteousness of God through the obedience of Christ . Amen 🙏

‭‭ “[Therefore, I do not treat God’s gracious gift as something of minor importance and defeat its very purpose]; I do not set aside and invalidate and frustrate and nullify the grace (unmerited favor) of God. For if justification (righteousness, acquittal from guilt) comes through [observing the ritual of] the Law, then Christ (the Messiah) died groundlessly and to no purpose and in vain. [His death was then wholly superfluous.]”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2:21‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

‘Righteousness of God’ in simple words could be understood as ‘Right standing with God’. The Message version defines ‘Righteousness of God’ as a ‘Living relationship with God’ ( “..If living relationship with God could come by rule-keeping, then Christ died unnecessarily “)

How true ! For example, Can a relationship between a husband and wife be established by rules set by them? What are the marriage vows that they exchange at the time of marriage? Is it not that each one commits to love the other unconditionally till death parts them ?

So also, Christ through His death at the cross established an everlasting relationship between man and God . ( “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans‬ ‭5:8‬ ) Hallelujah!

Yes my beloved, Jesus died for you and me and rose from the dead, never to die so that you and I can be the delight of His love eternally 🥲.This is the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus !

So when I say, “I am the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus”, I mean to say, “ I am in living relationship with God in Christ Jesus”.

“I have gone astray like a lost sheep; Seek Your servant, For I do not forget Your commandments.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:176‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness, which is from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is from God by faith;”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭3:9‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Paul reveals the success story of his walk with God : After he had an encounter with Jesus on the way to Damascus, his life long pursuit was only to know Jesus and His righteousness through the revelation given by the Holy Spirit. Undoubtedly, he is the greatest apostle of all times.
He realised that one can feel lost when he pursues his own righteousness but be found while pursuing God’s righteousness.

Knowing the law of Moses reveals what I need to do whereas knowing Jesus reveals what Jesus has already done for me. Hallelujah!
The law reveals where I am wrong but Jesus reveals that He has borne all my wrong doings upon Himself on the cross .

The law reveals that I am accountable for my sins whereas Jesus reveals that my sins have been paid for completely on His own body.

The law reveals that I am a debtor, with an outstanding debit balance that keeps increasing day by day whereas Jesus reveals that all my debts have been erased, instead He has also credited me with health that is not subject to any ailment, wealth beyond my wildest imagination, peace that passes all understanding, joy that is inexplicable full of glory & the highest quality of life that can never taste death. If we sum up all these credits into one thing its called ‘Righteousness’. This is what Romans 4:3 says, “Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Is this not too good to be true? Yes beloved, this is Gospel of Christ –
“ Seek His Righteousness and all that you look for in life shall be added unto you.”
( Mathew 6:33).
We need is a fresh understanding of His righteousness!
You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus ! Amen 🙏🏽

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭119:176‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

This verse puzzled me for years . How can one be mindful of God’s commandments and yet go astray from God? Its very ironic!

In fact, the whole psalm 119 talks about God’s law, His commandments, His statues, His Judgements, His ways and yet the Psalmist makes the above statement in the last verse of Psalm 119 where he admits that he had gone astray like a lost sheep. He is clueless & doesn’t know the way forward but he is seeking God’s help.

Yes my beloved, everyone comes to this crisscross in life feeling lost, going astray, not knowing what is the will of God, clueless even though one might have studied in a Christian school/college or brought up in Christian atmosphere or be a regular member of a church or regularly listening to God’s servants who bring the word of God every day just as ‘Grace for you today’. Are you in such a predicament?

One day the Holy Ghost opened my understanding to realize that this struggle( irony) is due to not seeking His Righteousness. Yes my friend, God’s righteousness in Christ Jesus alone can keep you always in His path of righteousness (Psalm 23:3). Jesus Christ came to save us . He is still the Saviour . Even today He seeks the lost. He reveals His righteousness and restores our soul & puts us back in the path of righteousness. Elijah was frustrated and was lost because he drifted to self righteousness. He was found by God’s righteousness & was restored by God’s righteousness. Amen 🙏

My beloved, you begin with God through His righteousness ( Lord I can’t, you can), you continue in His righteousness ( Lord not my obedience but your obedience) & you conclude your walk on earth with God through His righteousness . ( Philippians 3:9 , 2Tim 4:7 ) Amen 🙏
A fresh revelation of His righteousness will make a whole world of difference in your life wherever you are & will bring a paradigm shift !

“And when he saw that, he arose and ran for his life, and went to Beersheba, which belongs to Judah, and left his servant there. But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he prayed that he might die, and said, “It is enough! Now, Lord, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!””
‭‭I Kings‬ ‭19:3-4‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Elijah, one of the mightiest prophets the world had ever witnessed , was once fear struck & ran for his life when he was threatened by the wicked Jezebel.
If you try looking into the source of that fear , you will notice that it is the ‘self-righteousness’ ( mother of all sins ). It’s evident because he mentions saying, ‘ for I am no better than my fathers’.

It is obvious that anyone feels proud when he hits his career best. So also Elijah, for he brought down fire from heaven (an awesome demonstration of God’s power completely unheard of ). He prayed earnestly and rains descended after three and a half years of famine. He raised the widow’s son from the dead and the list goes on. Somehow, the thought creeps in subtly , ‘ I am holier than thou’ ( smarter than thou, wiser than thou, more knowledgeable than thou, better than thou……). That’s the voice of ‘self righteousness’. Dangerous…..
The only antidote is seeking God’s kind of righteousness which is in Christ Jesus! This ushers in the unmerited favor / grace of God in abundance. Hallelujah!

Yes my beloved, the revelation of the Righteousness of God witnessed in the life of Jesus Christ alone keeps us going and growing. Keep reminding yourself that you are hewn out of Him and fashioned in His righteousness to shine forth His glory . Its the perfect obedience of Jesus through His shedding of blood which is the reason for your success & exalting glory!

Some may reach the top but hardly few continue to stay at the top. It’s the constant awareness of His righteousness that keeps you at the top always . Amen 🙏
Because you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, you are the head & never the tail, above only & never below ! Amen 🙏🏽

“But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a broom tree. And he prayed that he might die, and said, “It is enough! Now, Lord, take my life, for I am no better than my fathers!” Then as he lay and slept under a broom tree, suddenly an angel touched him, and said to him, “Arise and eat.””
‭‭I Kings‬ ‭19:4-5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Elijah was greatly discouraged and in his frustration he preferred to die to end his agony . His zeal for the Lord had dwindled down dramatically . His heroic act of bringing fire from heaven was forgotten and righteousness was not restored. Still, the wicked Queen Jezebel continued to reign through her wickedness. The exasperated prophet only saw hopelessness & doom.

My beloved, there may be times when we encounter hardship and despair which seem never ending despite the fact we are continuing our confession that we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. These are the testing times.
But, God sent His angel to comfort Elijah at this point and commanded him to arise to shake off the dust (discouragement and doubts ) and eat . “Eat” means to have a fresh understanding of His righteousness in Christ.

Yes my beloved, understanding His righteousness is progressive and every fresh understanding of God’s righteousness in Christ takes you to a new mile stone. Hallelujah!
Let’s seek His righteousness as the first & foremost thing and all other things shall be added to us surely & certainly during this week in Jesus Name! Amen 🙏

“Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the Lord is risen upon you.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭60:1‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
“Then He took the child by the hand, and said to her, “Talitha, cumi,” which is translated, “Little girl, I say to you, arise.” Immediately the girl arose and walked, for she was twelve years of age. And they were overcome with great amazement.”
‭‭Mark‬ ‭5:41-42‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

The word ‘Arise’ in Hebrew is ‘cumi’. Jesus uses the same word when He raised a little girl from dead who was just 12 years of age. If we apply the law of interpretation, the word ‘ Arise’ could be used to areas in life that have become dormant, dead,stagnant ,chronic, wasted and so on.

In the book of Genesis, Joseph had tried every possible means to come out of the dungeon (the prison) but to no avail. He did nothing wrong, yet he was imprisoned with no means of rescue. However, Jehovah God raised him up from the pit of the prison to sit in the palace. He was exalted to the highest office instantly, skipping all processes & protocols.

My Beloved, that same power that raised Jesus from the dead quickens & revives every aspect of your life that had become dormant, paralyzed, lifeless ,as good as dead and everyone around you will see & be amazed beyond measure. Amen 🙏

You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus and Christ in you is your exalting glory!
